Just got a text, same thing,large parcel etc, has anyone actually called this number????? and what happened??

Just got a text from 07887843929, again asking to call 43820990914.  Apparently this is a UK mobile being used in Sierra Leone along with a few others used in this scam

+43820990914  Just had this same txt, 20:33. Deleted!!!!!! end off story.

I had a text at 1am this morning and i texted it back.luckly i dnt get charged weekend for texting.But with my brother living abroad i thought itll be him sending me sum presant for my birthda.But looks like its a scam.i am on vodafone and i seem to be getting lots of these texts n calls since i asnwered a questioneer for them.+43820990914

Just got one at 9.50pm so googled it and came across this site.

It came from a UK number again asking to ring an Austrain number +43820990914. I rang the UK one and got a Vodafone answering machine.

Thanks to all on this site for saving me getting scammed.

I Get A txt msg from mobile number +447919344453 on 25 oct at 12:55pm, asking me to call this international number +2322227070685 re: large parcel awaiting delivery as i have many friends and family abroad i was thinking it may be them sending me something. I called this number and went toa queing system asking me to hold line to speak to an operator i cancelled the call very soon. Looks like a scam . need to check my bill..

Message received 20:47:41 26-10-2008 purportedly from International Parcel Deliveries. Trouble is, I am actually expecting a parcel so texted back to the caller 07879 644274 to say I needed to speak to them. Now I find that the whole thing could be a hoax anyway, judging by other people's experiences.

Received text message from +44790043389, 25/10/08, 21:28.  Advises I have a large parcel awaiting delivery.  Tells me to contact +43820990914 for next day delivery.  Needless to say, I didn't.  Glad it's not just me then!

Same old message

i got the call from 43820990914 at 10 15 pm on saturday saying i had a large parcel to be delivered. i called the attched mob number. no answer back.

I received a text last night at 5.36pm

I thought it was strange as it was a sunday, what carrier company works on a sunday.  Im not expecting anything and why would they text to say that there is a parcel, iv never had a text come through before, they normally just deliver. My text came from 07990 647902.
When i tried ringing this number to see who it was, the line is dead.

Got the a text from +447990647902 telling me of an large parcel awaiting me, so call +43820990914.  As I am not expecting a parcel and looked up the country code for 43 and found it was Austria decided that it must be a scam so didn't ring the number.

Same Text ring +43820990914.  Expecting a delivery.  Called number from PAYG phone.  Network busy, then finally got through but no speaking.

Mother-in_Law had same message on Sunday evening.
Originating phone no was 07900043389.

Unfortunately she did call the number listed, but there was no reply.

Got a text "!!URGENT!! Large parcell awaiting delivery " at 02.38am on 26/10/08 Since I been waiting for a parcel, I called the number,waited for the delivery, nothing came through, checked with my network, the call costed me about £9. Do not phone is a scam. I do not understand why these people can not be tracked down as they use local numbers to send messages
