I'm even not a UK resident/citizen and of course consequently I'm not on a UK mobile phone net and got 2 calls yesterday and today from this number +441142015606 with a voice msg being only what I'd describe as "call center background noise". I thought I'd Google the number to see what comes up and here I landed ! Any body else in my case ?

Today this number called me in Sweden. It hang up, when I answered.

received this caller twice once in Feb and today from +44 114 201 5606 Im from Singapore. I run through with the posts and what i have in commom are those subscriptions from a free online magazine which i also subscribe.

i never reply to these calls, i searched and i found this site.

I got a call today (15 March 2010) on a German cell phone. I missed it, fortunately...

I am from Lithuania. Received a call from this number today. She was offering me an e-subscription to ICIS chemical journal. I agreed for a free journal. Then at the end she asked me my mother's maiden name - to confirm my personality :)
I said i will not give her that info and we ended our conversation.

It seems it's a Fa Lun Gong number, though I missed the call... Not every Chinese like Fa Lun Gong!

I have received numerous calls from this number. How I can make them to stop?

This is stupid. They started calling me Yesterday - 10 times! And now they are calling again today. I'm going crazy!

I got a hold of them today. It was the Economist - and they called for a ligitimate reason. It was not a prank call.

I am from Finland. Received a call from this number today. Didnt answer.

I received a miss call yesterday,and I am in Qatar

I get that stupid magazine. They scraped my info from a whois entry.

I get their call almost every day for weeks now.
@ Denmark: If it was really The Economist magazine, why would they call me at 2am in the night?

I also received  a  phone call today in Turkey and she  asked  secret  questions  about me.

Verone  should be  carefull and  never  gave  any  information to her.

I also got a call in Turkey. They wanted me to confirm my address about my complimantary subscription of a magazine.

In the last 3 weeks I had 3 daily missed calls!

Is anyone a The Economist subscriber? Because I was a subscriber and I guess this number is related with that magazine...

Got a call on a swiss mobile from this number, and a machine says "I'm sorry, we were unable to finish this call"

whatever it means.

Not sure how I've ended up on their calling list, but had one call yesterday where they said nothing when I answered and two thus far today.  Is ther any way to block them?
