The problem with Windsor is that they violate state and federal laws with zealousness. Even when I proved them to be incorrect with regards to my acocunt, and had the paper trail to prove it, they called me a liar and told me to quit hiding. There are lawyers out there willing to take them on who can beat them.

Just because they are a legitimate company does not give them the right to harrass you. It is also NOT important to call these people back! They are investigating people that I know, but you know what ... they can earn their money and get the information they need another way, they don't have to harrass people that are NOT INVOLVED in the situation.  They keep calling me at my place of employment as well as my home, and the next call they make here they WILL be told that I'm filing harrassment charges against them. I am NOT the person they're looking for so they can quit bugging me. I have rights too you know.

I recently received a call from a, Jessica Andersen, who identified herself as a member of the Windsor Group.  She asked for my wife by name but kept making reference to a man.  She said that they were handling the case on the "Toyota".  I explained to Miss Andersen that we don't own, nor have we ever owned a Toyota.  She began to yell and over talk me indicating that she would have us in court and that we just needed to turn the car over.  I told her that I had no idea what she was talking about, but she continued on with her tirade.  I eventually hung up, after asking her not to call my number anymore.  This was the forth such call from her company.  Clearly I need to seek some sort of injunction for them to cease and desist, since I don't possess, nor do I know the whereabouts of this Toyota they are looking for.

I understand that these people perform a necessary function in todays society, but when they are so ignorant, belligerent and uneducated, that they fail to listen to reason, when duly presented, then they cross the line.

Keep ignoring your responsibilities. Take loans for merchandise (cars, boats, etc), don't pay it, and live in a wage garnishment state. See what happens.

I note that lot's of people want to CLAIM that Windsor doesn't litigate and has lost numerous suits for violations of the FDCPA.

Sorry to state that there are TWO suits pending in courts filed by people who stole someone elses money via a loan and then refused to pay it. They hid the clients collateral and hid themselves. When tracked down they file suit for worng-doings from the skip tracer that had to find them.

It's laughable.

Windsor not only files suit and has won numerous judgements, they will also file criminal actions in the states that have a 'hindering' law and YES - YOU WILL GO TO JAIL.

So, keep listening to these people that owe money and are hiding. They are full of ways and means to beat the 'big bad debt collector.' These same people who steal other peoples property and then hide it.

If it weren't for THOSE people (the hinderers) we wouldn't have a job and no one would be calling you. Why not just man up and pay the loan as you agreed to? Wouldn't that be simpler?

No, I guess that wouldn't be as much fun as driving a brand new shiny car that you didn't oay for and that you have to hide and that you'll never get title to.

Look. You fill out applications all the time and list your 'references.' If you default and steal the money these people lent you for this vehicle and hide then we call your references. HOLY COW! The references are, of course, cell phones that are now disconnected!!! No way!

We then have to call any and everybody in order to find you BECAUSE YOU ARE HIDING!!! AND, YOUR FAMILY IS HELPING YOU!!!

So, let's recap. You stole, let's say, $30,000 worth of loan (which the finance company PAID). Took their merchandise and hid both it and you. You application is bogus, your references are BS, your income was mis-stated and you now have $30K of my clients property that you are hiding.

What do YOU think is the next step??

We call. We call people you know, might know, might have worked for, might have lived with, family, friends, etc., because we are looking for YOU and you are hiding.

I think it is fair to say that YOU brought this down on the very people here complaining that they are innocent victims. We are simply trying to get our clients property back. Period. Not trying to harrass anyone. Not trying to rip you off. Not trying to do anything but recover what you agreed in writing is ours until you pay for it.

Strange. People on here seem to think that we should just go away - until THEY get ripped off. Then, they want attorneys, cops, ANYONE to help them recover what is rightfully theirs. However, let them be on the receiving end of the equation and the same support group is not culprits.

Not only have we been getting harrasing phone calls But we just had 2 men show up at our door tonight. I think that is taking it a bit far. We didn't do anything and I don't know how to get a hold of my brother so leave me alone.

So, next time you get robbed or burglarized, don't ask for help. Those people whom you might ask do not owe you any help. Your neighbors don't owe you any help. No one owes you any help.

Since when do folks WHO ARE NOT HIDING STOLEN PROPERTY need to avoid answering thier phones? The only ones that I know of who have to do that are ducking responsibility for a situation that YOU created.

You know, just like I know and almost everyone that has a brother knows how to get in touch with them. I hear almost 100% of parents and siblings tell me they have NO IDEA how to get in touch with the thief who stole our car.

Isn't that amazing? I have 3 kids and 3 grand kids and know how to get in touch with every single one of them and believe me when I tell you - if they steal the property of another the I will come down on them with all four feet.

I was raised to believe that you faced your responsibilities no matter how much it hurt. That was how my parents raised me and that is how I raise my children.

So many of you parents are supporting the thievery that you KNOW is going on and you should be locked up in prison for 5 years or so to give you time to reflect on your ways. No wonder your children carjack, steal, commit adultery, and so on...THEY GET IT FROM YOU!

I will agree with you if you take out a loan then you should pay back that loan it is as clean cut as that but if situations that are out of your control come up then both sides need to meet in the middle and figure out how to get the debt paid off. All this lying ( from both sides) is just wrong.

The OTHER main problem is that we don't want the money - we are not licensed to collect debts - we want the car! Period.

The lender has had enough. They don't want anymore to do with the borrower. They simply want the vehicle back that they trusted you with.

End of story.

Interesting you choose to make a written record of clear cut violations of federal and state law. There is no lower life form than a repo "man" (I use the term man loosely - no real man would do this for a living) or a debt collector. But I understand arrogant, uneducated individuals such as yourself have limited employment options and this is the only type of company that would hire pondscum such as yourself.  I did a little checking myself on Windsor and Windsor is unlawfully conducting business in the state of California as their business has been SUSPENDED by the Secretary of State for non-payment of tstate taxes.  Hmmm, perhaps someone should repo Windsor's office furniture and other property to pay the debt they owe to California.  I plan to make an inquiry with individuals I personally know at the California Attorney General's office and make a formal complaint as well as to provide a printout of all your comments as evidence of Windsor's unlawful business practices.
