yea they can try takin me to court lol already 40k in the hole i get a 2 calls a day...have never talked to them

I have receive daily calls from this number, sometimes two or three times a day.  They have called at 9:50 pm, which I think is a violation of the Fair Debt Collections Act.  Wayne asked for John, and I told Wayne there is no John at this number.  He then screamed that they are going to kick John out of his house if he doesn't call back.  I told Wayne, "Fine by me.  There is no John at this number" and hung up.  The next day, a woman calls from the same number.  I give her cease and desist orders and she starts screaming and cursing at me, even after I told her that this telephone she is calling is relatively new to me and I do not have a mortgage.  She then calls me a "loser Yankee" and swears some more.  I hung up on her.  I received another call today from the same woman, she left voicemail this time because I didn't answer.  She did not say her name.  The message says "This is Green Tree Financial calling for John.  John you better call us back today.  John I will be in the office until 7 pm Central Standard Time and you better call me back.  The number is ...  John you better call me back today by the end of the day."    I guessing she likes saying "John".

YES. My original loan (Never default) with BAC was sold to them I think BAC needed to lessen their margins. I set up autopay from my bank account (every 14th  of the month). they received my payment last month (09/14/2011). Today (10/14/2011) they were so nervous they will NOt get the money from me so they called 9am to make sure they will receive the payment and kept telling me I was late for 13 days I told them I always had a 15 day grace period. To make the story short I do not think this is a Convenient and friendly last resort lender and they behaved just like why people are having "TAKING WALL STREET". In short they are GREEDY (Yes I meant that) businessmen on earth if you can avoid them by all means I mean.

Green Tree Debt Collection.... B of A sold them a huge block of mortgage loans. They will call several times a day. I had my loan with BofA... Green Tree harassed me for $6.51 even after I told them I would add it to the next payment. They continued to call many times a day pursuing $6.51!!!

After being called several times, which I ignored or just pick up and hang up I decided to jot down the number that they requested I return. I called the number and notified them I do not have any loans or debts and if they continued to call I will be notifying the state attorney general office. The calls have Stopped!

I was switch to them from BoA and I am not very happy, I have recieved a call from them this morning, I called the number back to see who it was and what they wanted.  They told me I was late on my bill.  6 years with BoA and never was late, I mailed my payment over a week ago to this Green Tree company and they are telling me I am late. How dare they.  They even had the nerve to get nasty with me asking me for specific details about when I mailed it, how I mailed it, what my check number and my bank codes. ARE YOU KIDDING.  I told the lady, well I think you may have it but it has not been processed yet do I need to put a stop payment on it.  Oh no we dont have it that is why you are being called. It will not be any processing today as it is MLK holiday and so you can call back tomorrow.  I am said NO I am not calling back and its best you dont call me back as I know you have and if I call my back right now and the check has cleared I will hold you responsible for any and all late fee's as I will not be paying them.  I hung up. They are very rude customer service.  I understand that there are people who are unable to pay bills on time and there are some out there trying to cheat the system, but we are not all alike.  They need better customer service training. So fustrating to have to have this type of conversation early in my day.

thanks everyone. good to know! I just don't answer my phone anymore. This number comes up on my phone a few times a week..not the level of harassment witnessed here. The message left is always the same thing, silence. so I never have any idea what they want. and never intend to answer.
