Got a call from it today...its a penn area code.  I am in cali!  Why?

i'm in chicago.  just got a call...5pm local.  one ring and hung up.

Same thing here, except that I live in Dallas Texas.

ITs a telemarketing call...scam..  Waste of time.  If you call them back, they will keep calling, and they will sell your number as a good working number to other telemarking groups.  Watchout

had a missed call from this number at 6:10pm Sept 27, 09. Left no message, did not call back. So far, no more calls. In Texas.

12:53 pm 484-892-6078 called my cell - 1 ring then hang up no answer/ no message -- no idea what hey cosmo is.

I work for Verizon Wireless and after I got to work we pulled it up thru the system and it is a company called "Timeline Communications" with a history of calling you and hanging up before the cell phone owner has time to answer. Their system is designed so, that when you call them back (via your cell) you are charged. Legally you are responsible because they (Timeline Comm) AND your Wireless Carrier have actual proof of where YOU called THEM!!  So....
BEWARE!!!!  Some of the calls are averaging $8 to $29 PER MINUTE!!  

If this has happened to you... suggestion... save the number in your contacts as "Timeline Communications" or FREUD.  This way you know not to answer or return the call.

This is a fishing call.  A machine is calling numbers to generate a list of active numbers within certain areas.  If the phone rings or someone answers, then the machine knows it is an active number and it is added to the list.  If the machine gets the disconnected tones, then the number is not added to the list.  Don't be suprised if you start to get calls from telemarketers.  The telemarketers that subscribe to this type of list generally DO NOT use the do not call list!  Just a warning!

Just rec'd a call from this number, barely rang once and they hung up - no msg.

I received a call from this number - no message.  Just a phone number.  I'm on the Do Not Call list so not sure how they got my number.  I believe they should be reported.

didn't recognize the number so i didn't answer. have a CA number but don't live there anymore. showed up on my phone as from bethlehem,pa.

Got the call 30 September. Didn't answer --I never answer unknown calls.   however if the postings here are correct, this is a despicable  group.  In either case its an unwanted call.  Please report it to he FCC:

Called it with Skype, it said, "thank for you for calling heycosmo, your record is being retrieved."  Then it hung up.

got called from that number couple of hours ago--one ring and then disconnected-I agree DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!!!!

Same as everyone else, received as a missed call on my cell phone 9/30 in San Antonio, Texas 12:14 pm, no message. Did not call it back.

Got a call, did not answer (don't know the number), no message.

unknown number - no message.... i think they just want to get a call back.

I'm in California. Two rings, no voicemail to my Verizon cell phone at 19:22 pacific time.  Time to register a complaint with the FCC.
