This is a fraudulent call, absolutely do not answer it.

got a call from this number saying they were from Wells Fargo and I missed a visa payment.

Wells Fargo is the worst bank out there. They start with automatic dialing the day after your payment is due. They have no respect for your personal privacy. They have phone banks of callers that call all hours of the day and night, including Sundays. I am closing all my accounts with them and going with regional and local banks that actually employ caring people. Wells Fargo is one of the greediest corporations in America.

the phone industry now lets these tele-spammers hide there identity by listing states as the callers name. call your state congressman and demand the phone companies stop helping these tele-scammers!!

I called my local WF branch to verify the number because it sounded for real when I called it too. They said it is a real number and its for debt collection. I let my wells fargo rep handle it. Shecall the number and had my number taken off their call list. Only time will tell if that works.

These people cannot be from Wells Fargo because they asked me for my social security number. These guys are fishing for personal information! Just hang up and call the operator to register your complaint. If you're worried it's legitimate, hang up and call Wells Fargo yourself. Never give out your personal information when someone calls you.

So after reading some of the comments, i decided to call the number back. I got a rep who was very nice. He asked for my card number, I told him no and stated that I kept getting calls from this number for no reason. He only asked for my phone and name, he asked if I was 'Danielle'. When I said no, he told me to hold while he removed my number. It was very quick and easy. Hopefully it works! Good luck everyone!

Thanks for all these postings. I'm going to put our family phone numbers once again on the National Do Not Call registry. Let's all do that!

Get the same calls....do have an account with WF...but, they have told us from the beginning...if someone calls and ask for your account info....DO NOT GIVE IT TO THEM...we have never had any late payments, so we have no reason to call...and we monitor our accounts several times a day....This is NOT Wells Fargo!

Wells Fargo themselves told us...if they ask for your information when they call....Then they are NOT Wells Fargo...and do NOT talk to them...period!

This is WellsFargo CC in-house collection services--they try to collect before you are 90 days overdue on your bill. Some people are really helpful and professional, some are total jerks...as in..." Don't you feel ashamed? Can't you ask your mom for money?" They will not stop calling until the bill is paid in full. I am making partial payments a couple of times a month and they still call five times a day--never a message.

They keep calling me usually about 8 time in a row so they call me around 24 times a day or more

received 4-5 calls a day, no one on line and hangs up.  I called the number and Wells Fargo answering system asked for my card number.  Say "I don't have it" and you will get a person.  I was told my number was removed; I am slightly optomistic.

I have a Wells Fargo account, that I need to close, but the wierd thing is that this number is not calling my personal cell phone but only my work number..three to four times a day.  I have no idea how they would get my work number.

Keep calling me also on my cell I bought for very important calls!  Keeps calling obsessively, 2-15 times a day at all hours!  Tried blocking the number, but they keep calling!  Also, get calls from 503-403-2675 the same annoying way!  Should be illegal!  Please stop these people!

They call my home phone all hours of the day and night, even starting at 8:30 Sunday morning.  Do not have a clue why they are calling my home.  Do not know the person they are calling about.  There should be some kind of sanction to keep people like this from bothering glumly the privacy of your own home.  Can this be reported to the FCC?  I would simply have my phone removed, except my husband has medical issues and I am afraid to not have a landline.  Thanks for letting me vent.
