got a call 2/16/2011 about 5:40 pm. Had some trouble understanding who/what VIP750 is. Woman said I had won a $1200 something, in a drawing. My phone is relatively new, so I would not have written it a year ago anywhere! Something said about monitoring at $1/day. Wanted to set up an appointment. I probably should have set it up, to waste their time, when they did not make a sale! Woman was reasonably polite, although pushy.

Received a phone call from VIP750 around 9:30 a.m., 2/19/11. Telemarketer explained he represented a security company that was offering free equipment and installation to a "few select homeowners" in my neighborhood, and he could book me an appointment to get me more information for as early as 11:00 a.m. the same day. He also told me that if I accepted the equipment and installation package, it would go hand-in-hand with a contract with a monitoring service that would cost "about $1.25 per day". I said I would be interested in learning more, but that my husbnd would not be able to join us. He said that both of us had to be present. I explained that my husband travels frequently and would not be able to join us for SEVERAL MONTHS. He then said he was sure I understood his company's position, that both decision-makers be present for the "sales call". I then explained that if he wanted our business, he would have to send the rep out to speak to me exclusively, and that I would share the information with my husband. He then asked if I could talk about it with my husband before the rep came out and get "permission" to accept the "free" gift and service package, so that I could make a decision on the spot with the rep. I said, "no", that I would get the information first, then discuss it with my husband. This went on for quite awhile, until the man finally gave up, gave me the VIP750 website information and invited me to do research, then call them back to schedule an apopintment -- but no guarantee I was going to get the same deal he had offered me! I have yet to do the research, but thought it was a little fishy that they wouldn't send someone out just to speak with me... as they required an immediate acceptance/decline of their offer at the time of presentation. That always smacks of a scam to me...

I purchased an alarm from this company. Have never received a marketing call from them. Located in Portland, they must have a marketing room by the looks of it. Very reputable company. I ended up looking at this because i missed a call from them and didn't recognize the number, people are so quick to judge it cracks me up!!  I gave referrals to them so I was thinking some of the people getting calls might have been referred by their friends and think they are just randomly calling.

How silly?!! Its a home security company?  You would rather NOT have a system then make an educated decision. Good luck when you get robbed! OH and most of their customers are police officers and firefighters so dont call them either if something bad happens.  Geez all over a phone call with someone trying to help you??

I notice how many people post anonymously or obviously anyone can say anything.  I just wanted to set the record straight as Im laughing at the sign for another security on this site which I find funny.  I used to have ADT and actually purchased an alarm from VIP750.  I missed a call from them, THEY are my Home and Business Alarm company!! I found this sight and realized they must have a marketing room, no big deal I guess but am just blown away by people that are so quick to trash.  I have never had a telemarketing call from them and have been a customer for about 6 months with no issue. Its an alarm with a contract.  If you dont want one just say no, cant imagine anyone not having an alarm these days.  I think its probably normal in the alarm industry to market this way but I also gave them several referrals and am thinking that they call customer referrals and people dont know who they are.  Good company, hope sights like these dont hurt them

It sounds to me like you expected someone to come out and give you everything for free just so you could talk to your husband then they come back and talk to him for free?  I always shake my head and women these days that cant make a decision with their husband! I am married and do not need my husbands permission , we trust each other.  I bet they knew you were just playing them for something for nothing, as a small business owner good for them and not playing into wishy washy people that expect heir assess kissed!

If I wanted a security system - I would call the various companies for info & estimates - I hate these calls.
And people shouldn't be referring their friends personal information to others.

mine was a hang up , I hit *69 to see who it was from.

I received a phone call last night from VIP 705 stating that I had won a drawing for a home security system.  The gentleman I talked too was very nice and said he was all choked up because he got to call me to let me know about this fantastic deal.  Only problem is that he said he drew my name from a drawing at Northgate Mall.  I have NEVER been to Northgate Mall in my entire life.  I have a general idea as to where it is, but that's it.  He is calling me back tonight and I will tell him, thanks, but no thanks.  If the offer isn't kosher all the way around, I'm not up for the hassle.  Besides I have the best alarm you could every have -- FIVE LARGE DOGS!

This number and the 503-688-2902 number has been calling me at least every other day if not everyday looking for someone named Nancy. I just got another call and told them yet again "wrong number" and the guy says "yea, alright, sure..." and hangs up on me!

very rude girl called to say my husband had filled out an entry form on line, and when we asked her when he filled out the entry form, she hung up the phone.  I called back the number and the same voice answered (recorded).  I left a complaint as to why she called us and hung up.

I received a phone call from 503-688-2900 & "googled" it and came up with this page.  I did not return the call and no message was left.  It was on my cell phone and I do not have Verizon so its not just that provider.  Seems cell phones are being targeted. I think its best just not to answer it.

Wife got the call. He asked for her by name, but not complete name. She corrected him and he called her by incomplete name again. Said he was a dispatcher from VIP750. She said she never heard of it and asked what that is and he hung up.

Already have an alarm and we used to be on some "Do not call" list. Apparently telemarketers' business is more important that our privacy. Maybe they are reputable... maybe not. I just wish they would stop calling. We already have an alarm system and monitoring service. We are happy with it and do not want another service.

Anyway, not really complaining too much as they are the least bothersome of all the annoying telemarketers. Just wish they would all stop calling me. If I want something or need something I will seek it out. I am tired of being told what to buy.
