We are on the do not call registry and it comes up on caller id as "mailbox"

Just got call from this number... caller asked for me personally, I lied and said I was home.

Call came in on my home phone and was answered by my partner.  It was someone with a heavy foreign accent - didn't want to leave a message.

we are on the federal and state "do not call" lists.
They claimed to be a survey group.
Asking a question about a woman's right to choose. when I asked who was paying their company to perform the survey, they would not disclose. ( I suspect it is a poilitcal campaign here in Oregon.) Oy Vey!!
When I stated that we are on a "do not call list", they immediateloy hung up.
again... what is the point of having registered on the "do not call list" if anyone can still call.

I got a random call from this number too - on my cell phone no less!

Four times today my home # which is UNLISTED,was called.
we did NOT answer as it appeared as MAILBOX.
this has been occuring for a week now at various times during the day and evening.
We too are on all the DO NOT CALL LISTS!!!!

Political survey, asking me who I was voting for...

Received several calls over the past few days.
I live in PHX and am a recent vonage customer but have switched to skype.
Dam you vonage for selling my number. My main reason for leaving Vonage was getting sales calls all the time on that number.

Has called my cell several time since Saturday 10/4/2008, didn't answer and no message left. Most recent call was at 8:14pm on Monday 10/6/2008, this is getting really annoying.

Over past 2 weeks have received around dinner time multiple calls from "Oregon" 503-776-6714.
All calls are "abandoned" with dead silence.  This appears to be a telemarketer using a defectively designed predictive out-call dialing system.  Since they only call one of my several residential lines, it is actually doubtful that they are using "RDD" -random digital dialing.

1)  I called back the number and got a recording.  The recording provides an erroneous location, claiming to be in Las Cruces, NM.  It also provides an erroneous web-site for their e-mail:  info@ss.com - presumably it should have said rddfs.com?

Called again 10/11 twice

Got this call which showed up simply as "mailbox" and the girl asked for my husband.  When I said he wasn't available and asked if I could take a message, she declined.  I asked what it was about and she said "we'll just call back."  I told her I wanted to know who was calling and she refused to tell me, then hung up.  I called them back and found out they are a polling "service" called RDD Field Services and their website is www.rdd.info.  Was unable to leave a message asking them to stop calling here.

It was a pollster asking questions about NE 2nd distict congressional race.  It was extremely biased against the challenger, a democratic candidate.  When asked who was behind the survey he would not answer

Called here at 7pm asking for my son, who hasn't lived with us for years. Given the time of year, and that my son's voting registration probably lists this phone number, I suspect it was for a political survey as others have mentioned.

When I answered it did that funny little pause, then click, like recorded messages have, but it was a real person. He was very polite though when I said nobody by that name lives here, said he was sorry, and hung up.

on do not call list but still get a call from this number and it registers oregon on the caller id

Got a call from this number yesterday, she asked for my husband like she knew him. He has laryngitis so he can't talk. When I asked how they got my number, she said in a smart alec tone "From my computer screen". I told her we are on the do not list and she just said "oh". Told her don't call here again. I'll report them to the do not call registry after this.

Got a call from that # today on my home phone.  Answered and person asked for me by my first and middle name, rather than first and last.  Told them that person wasn't home but they did not want to leave mssg. 10/18/08

I have two lines, a home phone and one I use as work line.  My home phone is in my wife's name, and when I got the work line about 2 years ago QWorst put it under my wife's name.  I changed that right away so that it is listed under my name.  For about two years now, her name should no longer be associated with my work phone.

Today, somebody called from this number, and asked for my wife by first name only.  I was puzzled, and responded that my wife is not at that number, and asked how did they get this number for her?  The caller responded in a somewhat flip voice "just a random number, thank you for your time" and hung up.

Strange.  I don't think I have received any other calls from that number.

I too suspect a telemarketer, and both my work and home phone number are on the do not call list.
