I added the number to blocked call list via options page on optonline , my telephone provider.  Problem solved.

I actually work at Telefund.  I apologize if the calls are a nuisance.  I understand that, but the people you are speaking of are doing nothing but working at a call center and supporting themselves.  Some of them through college, and others just to make ends meet.  The organizations that you support pay companies like telefund up front to raise campaigning funds to their utmost potential.  It is a struggle to get people that want to be volunteers for organizations like the DNC to call people and raise money as well as people like myself are trained to do.  If you support this or other organizations that use these services; please understand that there is a method to the madness and the people that work at telefund have to show interest in these groups to call for them.  So, if anyone has read this i hope that it might leave some sort of impact in how you treat someone from Telefund.  Its a job, just like i hope most of you have during these trying times.  Furthermore, they are working very hard just to help the organizations that you believe in and there is no funds that go to telefund.  Telefund is paid upfront so any donations you make go straight to whatever it is you believe in.  Progress is progress and we cant exactly be picky with these sorts of things, so have an open mind and treat people with respect even if its an inconvenience to do so.  Thats the way everything should be, not just phone calls on behalf of something you signed up to suppot.

The organization is Telefund, Inc.  It does phone banking for progressive organizations looking for donations and new members.  Here is a list of some of their clients:

I can't complain too much, being as how I have donated to, or volunteered with, many of these organizations in the past.  If the phone calls are annoying, call back and leave a message to have your number removed from their calling list.

My father has been hiring female escorts to sleep with and uses this number to call me from when they are at our house. When I call it back it is the tele fund voicemail. I think it is a false number that blocks who/where the true caller is, be they call girl or con artist or general scammer. Can't imagine tele fund would be supportive of prostitution.

Same situation as others.

I receive 3 - 6 calls daily from this number with no message.  Finally I called te number back.  The organization is Telefund and they have a prompt where you can leave a message with your phone number to be removed from the calling list.  I just left the message, so we'll see if it works!

The DNC list was a scam by the U.S. Government so that they and their "campaign doners," a.k.a. wealthy businesses and corporations, would have an easily accessible database of phone numbers to call for selling their wares and for spying purposes.  Did you really think our government would not spy on all U.S. citizens?!  BIG BROTHER IS HERE!!

They call. I answer "Hello?" No one responds. I hang up

I am receiving calls from 1512-916-0420 not understanding why I am? No messages are left.

We have received numerous calls from this number for the past several weeks.  The ID caller shows the name:  Telefund.
We have never answered and no msg has ever been left.

I understand the plight of a telemarketer. Ive done his type of work myself. My problem is that when I verify that I am the person that they are trying to reach...............they just hang up on me.

Ive asked several times to have my number removed to no avail!!!

I have no idea who this is or what they are up to, but there should be some way to block this number

I contribute to some of these groups, but I don't want them calling and bugging me.  I put them on my call blocker. They won't bother me again.

Some organizations do not have to comply with the National Do Not Call Registry, including:

   Charitable organizations
   Telephone surveyors who refrain from "selling" goods or services
   Political organizations
   Companies that have an established customer relationship with call recipient

It is a Rule violation to call any consumer who has asked not to be called again - the “entity-specific Do Not Call” provision.

A telemarketer may not call a consumer who previously has asked not to receive any more calls from or on behalf of a particular seller or charitable organization.

If you are getting calls from a political or charitable fund raiser, you can contact that particular one and ask to be removed from their list and they should comply. If Telefund or any other entity does fund raising for more that one political or charitable organization, you would have to call them for each one once they have contacted you.

I think that when the DNC was established, certain entities were excluded from compliance so that political groups, ie candidates, could do fund raising without having to check the DNC list. They had to exclude some other groups so that it wouldn't look like they were simply excluding themselves only.

SEVERAL CALLS EVERY DAY FROM THIS NUMBER.  NEVER ANY MESSAGE.

Keeps calling and leaves no message.  Very annoying.

if it's from telefund, they're the contracted fundraiser for HRC... So if you've donated to HRC (as I have), that would explain the calls

Been calling every few minutes for the last week.

This number has been calling me multiple times per day on a daily basis for over a month!  So annoying.
