Who the hell is this?!  I've received nine calls over the past two weeks, and even answered once.  No one responded, not even an automated voice or message.  Weird.  Stop it.

I am getting multiple calls from this number ...

At least  3 calls a day.  No message.  Caller ID shows Telefund.  I am on the DNC. How can this caller continually get away with all these annoying calls??

please get these calls stopped. I plan to call the FCC and see if that will do any good.

After getting too many calls from this number to count, I found this message board.  After reading through the posts I decided to go online to my Sprint account and block this number on my phone.  I probably won't know until tomorrow if my effort was successful.  I'm crossing my fingers!

I've been getting calls from this number a lot recently (multiple times a day, often at 6 am because I have a California number but live in Hawaii). I haven't answered yet.

If it is Telefund, they are a clearing house for charities and are not subject to the do not call registry restrictions. However, if you answer and tell them you don't want to be called again, they will tell you to contact the charity, since they do not have permission to remove numbers from their lists. The only way to find out which charity, however, is to answer and subject yourself to the telemarketer's spiel. If you call back, the receptionist cannot tell (or may not even know) which charity contracted with them to call you.

My solution has been to add all the Telefund numbers I can find to my address book and set the phone to silent when they ring. The problem is that I have been called from at least 2 dozen numbers, so my phone book is filling up.

I don't know where you recieved your "information" about the financial breakdown of phone fundraising organizations in general or Telefund in particular, but the facts are that The Obama Victory Fund, The NAACP, The Southern Poverty Law Center, PBS, AMFAR, The Democratic National Committee, Planned Parenthood, The People for the American Way, and Amnesty International, to name a few, all use Telefund to contact their members, volunteers and interested potential donors,and have for many years. These organizations are exempt from the National Do-Not-Call List because they are not selling any products and the bulk of their profits are mandated by law, to go to the organizations they represent.

It's a number for Telefund a fundraising service.  If you call the number back, it allows you to leave your phone number to be removed from their call list.

I Dont Want These Calls

Just got a call from this number, he asked specifically for me, I took a second to muster up some voice, because i am ill. In that time he hung up.

Twice in two days for me. No message.

Received call Fri 2/15/13 on behalf of EMILY's List. As I'm already on their email AND snail mail list, requested to be removed from call list.

Don't know who called; wonder if it is legit

I get calls from this number several times a week and they ask for me by name.

Guess I'll add their number to the silent "ring" option. I have my house phone forwarded to me cell...house phone rings once...on "silent ring" numbers, that's the only sound I ever hear. I don't know how many variations of numbers I have so far. I know it works because some numbers show up on caller ID when I check my cell.

Since someone else named the company, this IS listed as the fax number for Telefund in Resource USA.  Telefund is a fundraising company that lists clients such as Human Rights Campaign Fund and the ASPCA.  Their main number is (773) 486-6637 in Chicago.

I know they called me on my Fax number.  Since it's not listed, they may have gotten my number from some organization.  I know that political, pollsters and charitable organizations don't have to adhere to the DNC list, but I think they DO have to remove you from their lists when requested.
