Caller ID showed it as a cell phone from Ohio - called at 9:11 AM on August 15.  No message.  

Being on the Do Not Call list apparently means absolutely nothing.  Is it ever enforced?

Got a call 8/16/11 10:11 a.m. - no voicemail.

called the number and it went to voicemail (message was "Hiiiiii") and the mailbox is full.  I agree - the do not call registry obviously doesn't mean much.  I also still receive texts every now and again that begin "NEED MONEY FAST"?   <sigh>

I repeatedly receive calls on my cell # from 514-417-0498. The calls come so often that I now recognize the number and simply ignore it! The most recent call from this number was received on 8/15/11 @10:39 AM.

I'm tired of receiving these annoying calls and would like to get them blocked!

This number 513-417-0498 has come up several times on my 'Cell phone' It is from Cincinnati Ohio and when I called the number back, it said "the caller is not taking calls at this time".

Just received a call from this number--came up as Cincinnati OH.  An automated message told me I had elected to receive notification of winning either 2 Walmart or 2 Target gift cards in exchange for taking a quick survey for $1.95 each.  I chose to speak to a representative, told him to take me off their call list and he kept asking if I had been called or if I was calling them back.  Told him again and he said, "Yes ok, bye bye."

Haha! Excellent idea! I'll have to practice it, though, or I'll start laughing while I'm doing it! Smart response.

Got a call on my cell from this number at 1:43 PM, Dec 19, 2011. My "unknown number" ringtone, so I didn't answer. I'm in Oregon. I have 3 phones on the DNC registry, but recently learned there is a link at their website for businesses to request A COPY OF THE DNC LIST so they know which numbers NOT to call! That explains why I started getting these calls almost daily, right AFTER I listed my numbers with DNC. Can the gov't possibly be so stupid as to think scumbags wouldn't request and use that list as a way to get more numbers to call and harrass? And even if the gov't wanted to go after somebody, they change numbers all the time (although this one has been active since August, based on the original postings).

got a call at 1pm pacific time, no message. googled the number and a lot of sites are reporting this as a scam.

I got the call, they are some company that told me they could lower the interest rate on my credit cards. When I told him to take my name and number off the list, He rudely told me I had the wrong extension and hung up on me.

Hey, dumb@$$ -- these are SCAMMERS. They are evading the law. The only way for the FTC to investigate and prosecute is for nit-bags like you to FILE COMPLAINTS.

The only way the FTC can investigate scams like this is for people like you to file complaints with the FTC. These are crooks who are evading the law. How can you expect the FTC to do anything unless they are reported??? You are a complainer, but yet you do nothing but complain. Your idle whining is USELESS unless you GET OFF YOUR @$$ AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT.

Got a call from this number.  I just declined the call on my cell phone.  If anyone gets another call from this number please report it to the FCC.  If we all report these types of calls then maybe one day they will stop.

I keep getting these calls saying its my last chance to lower my credit card interest rate. Funny thing is...I don't even have a credit card! When I finally pressed 1 to talk with an "associate" they immediately hung up. I am sick of getting these calls - anyone know how to make them stop?
