These people use a service to hide or show a different number on caller id, hence why so many different numbers people receive with this type of call. They pray on the unknowing. Any legit company will give a call back number if you have any suspecting questions.
It is very easy now days to get some basic info on your "mark" if you are a scammer and they have this info ready to help you believe they are trying to help your finances. In reality they are identiy thieves, and are looking for key words...."Yes I have your account up sir, for security purposes can we get your mothers maiden name??" and so on. Once they have that info if you are still actually on the line with them, they will tell you I am sorry, at the moment the program we offer dosent fit your situation or something along that line. They are phishing for key security phrases, to open accounts in your name, and steal your financial life away.

Have seen it happen from work experience I am in. Not a new scam, but new methods and technology make it more believable to their "mark", The phone spoofing service they use, charges a small monthly fee to re-do the caller id to show what ever info they have paid for it to show. There is a push currently to try and stop this type of phone/caller ID spoofing-but for now is a legal service offered. Alot of these calls are not even coming from the USA.

I have been getting phone calls everyday from this number. They say the same thing...to lower your interest rate on you credit card press 1 to speak to a representative. I press 1 and then it doesn't do anything then gives a busy signal.

    hello,
Been recieving these calls for about three months now... contacted my Attorney General's Office and got the run-around, I swear it is absolute MISERY! They notified me that it is from some scammers who possibly are out of the country OR in the country who knows really?!!? But they have some kind of device that calls from any number THEY CHOOSE; to call whatever number THEY WANT. Geez, society is really favoring the criminal minds these days. Basically our government cannot help  us, doesn't want to help us, and wouldn't really be able to help us....

Been getting calls from these a**holes for several month now.  "Credit Card Services" - but they are quite abusive if you request to be taken off of their call list - which they say they do not need to use.  I suggest learning vile, filthy curses in various foreign languages, and practicing them on them often.  Or, if you're of a nicer bent, try showing them the Power of Jesus to heal their broken, hollow, shallow lives.  My personal favorite - make some small talk with them, then, in mid sentence, stop, say "hold on", and pretend to be talking to someone else in the room with you, saying "you've got it?".  Then return to the caller and say, "thanks, I've kept you on long enough to get a trace on your real number.  we'll be in touch!", then hang up. :-)

I get a call from this number one or two times a day on my cell phone...if you call back and tell them to take you off of their calling list they hang up on you ....so I called back and asked the person his name he told me that it was David Walker then he hung up before I could say more....this kind of call should have a 10-20 year prison term and never aloud a phone or internet service for life...

I have gotten at least one call a day from this number for a week.  I am on a crusade.

The prerecorded message says that they have low interest rates for me as long as I have $4000 in debt.  I am given the option to press 1 for a live person....and no other option.  I usually gladly press 2 on other robocalls and go about my day, but they have taken away from me the pleasure of a polite and anonymous, 'no, thank you.'

I take a moment and consider the situation before plunging into the point of no return.  Should I engage these tele-monsters?  Should I just hang up and go back to minding my own business, making a contribution to society? This situation played out in my the first few times, and I chose to just hang up; they will stop eventually, right?  Wrong.

I was doing my work of making the world a better place when I heard that ever so familiar buzz.  A call was coming in.  Was it my wife calling to tell me she loved me? No. Was it a work related call that was so important that I had to drop everything and start solving a new problem in the world? No.  Was it a faceless scammer hell-bent on attaining my personal information for malevolent purposes? Yes.

I pressed 1 and spoke to what I will refer to as a 'person' (and that is being kind).  I explained how I had plenty of debt and this call was just the message of approval from God that I was looking for to continue my lifestyle of frivolous spending and financial disregard.  Just as I though I was getting somewhere, he hung up.

The next day, another call, same number, pressed 1.  This time I'm not up for the act and just ask (very kindly) to be put on the DNC list, and the jerk hangs up on me mid-sentence. That's right, just hangs up!  I know that these people don't intend to represent the epitome of reasonable interpersonal communication, but come on: would it have hurt to just say, 'That is not a problem at all, fine fellow.  Return to your prosperous and happy life on this earth that we all share. I bid you adieu and wish you a fine week's end." Okay, that might be pushing it, but did he really just have to hang up on me like he had an eager 'customer' on the other line?

When I called back to ask this gentle creature whom had pissed in his Wheaties, I get the message that the number is disconnected.  That's odd. I seriously doubt that the number that calls me more often than a seventh grade girl calls her bff is suddenly disconnected.  In my shock and disbelief, I just keep listening and hear that I received message OH03GN.

I was on that like Dick Tracy on Flattop Jones.

Tracfone uses that code number, which means that this number is either being used by a mutli-national black market ring of drug dealers, arms merchants, and personal identity thieves trying to remain anonymous and routing all calls through phone they bought at K Mart, or a real 7th grade girl desperately trying to find her long lost BFFs by calling random strangers.

Apparently they have blocked the incoming call feature (who needs incoming calls, anyway?).  I went to plan B, and tried to text these gents a friendly message...and it went through.

And this is where I need your help.  While I plan the next move (frisking the entire Cincinnati metro area, deploying NARCs, and calling up a 'friend of a friend' in Sicily), it's time to blow that phone up.  Sign this number up for for all the text alerts you can find.  Your local weather? Yes.  Horoscopes?  Definitely.  Maury Povich tip of the day? Let's not push it.

I know that there's a chance this may not have a large effect, but there is a small chance that it will make the phone owner really perturbed...like the rest of us.

I play along up until they ask for a credit card number. I then start off with a real number then use letters as follows. 5490 - GOFU- CKYO- RSELF. They always ask to repeat and I spell out GO- [***]- YOU.

They usually get pissed off and curse you out. I reply that "you are the one trying to steal my money". Then they hang up. I figure I should make some lemonade out of lemons.
