I receive calls numerous times during the week. Do you realize that it is against the law to call after the restricted hour law. I receive calls after 10 pm!!!!!!!!! Are you kidding me!!!!!! Knock it off or someone's going to have charges laid against your firm!!!!!

They may not fall under violations within the FTC's TSR but the FTC does have violations under fraudulent, deceptive, abusive act, practices!
Environmental research? Is that similar to calls received as "Alternative Energy Services" "Energy Consumer Services" "Energy audit" calls?

They called July 24 at 8:45pm I didn't answer, they didn't leave a message. I blocked the number.

Fed up off scam or merketing calls.Work all week they call all weekend

Caller pretended to be from Neilson.  Asked a bunch of questions promising a paid focus group.  Then told me I didn't qualify.  Bogus, they are skewing the samples for their studies.  Don't answer, don't participate.

Unfortunately, you are partly wrong. The problem is not the poor interviewers that have to call people but the companies making them do it. This is the fourth time I receive a call from this number. Always late at night. Four times that I ask politely that they remove my number from their list. Yet I am not sure that they finally did it. There is a national list for people who does not want to receive marketing calls and my number is on it. But I still have to receive these calls I do not want to receive. There are so many ways today to reach people and I am sure there would be a thousand other ways to have people interested in answering surveys WHEN THEY WANT. I do have a phone to receive calls from people I have given my number to. My number is private. I do not find normal to have to fight not to receive calls from companies I don't even know!

I do not believe that the Canadian Do Not Call list prohibits Survey calls.

They’re not considered to be telemarketing calls because they are not selling a product or service, or requesting donations. Similarly, debt collection calls are not considered telemarketing calls. As well, these organizations do not have to keep internal do not call lists.
