Why do these ppl keep calling and not leaving messages?
Extremely annoying!  Call on Sundays as well.
    Stop calling my house.
If it's important, a message would have been left.

It's against the law for telemarketers to call on Sunday's.

    1-514-288-0420  calls almost every Sunday

    SCAM ALERT!

This number, 514-288-0420, is a scam number to get you to call them back and then your number is on their call list to scam other information.
In the San Francisco Bay Area where I live it was reported on the local TV media NOT to call this number back, as once they get your number from caller ID, you're then screwed.

So, following the advice of the long post from the survey company I called the number back, pressed 7 and got a person. I asked to be removed from their call list, he said 'Ok - you're number is (the number I was calling from)..? I said "Yes'. He said "I'll have that removed immediately". I'll check back in if they call again but for now I'm going to say don't get pissy or avoid callers - tell them, clearly and politely, to remove you from their call list. If they call again, ask for a supervisor - don't get mad or stressed just deal with it. Seriously, people. We're adults?

Well hello everyone! First of all thank you to RW who politely explained things to you all. I'll explain it a bit more bluntly.
If you do any of the following we WILL call you back: don't answer or respond to us; if you hang up on us; if you tell us you're busy or that we 'could' call another time.

There is no way for us to differentiate between a VM with no message, a refusal or person who doesn't speak. Those calls get logged as 'No Answer' and we will call you back. PS letting your answering machine pick up or ignoring us for 10 calls in a row doesn't count as a refusal- we aren't mind readers.

I apologize on behalf of my company and others, we do try to call at times that are most convenient for most people. There are always exceptions and you just need to let us know. Not everyone takes a break from the world on Sundays, not everyone goes to sleep after 7pm.

No-one is trying to fraud you or sell you something when we call. If you don't want to answer a question than say so, any 'personal questions' are usually the ones that are demographical in nature.

Remember you're answering an opinion survey and will therefore give personal feedback. If the topic isn't revealed until you begin and it turns out to be political and you don't want to give feedback on that topic than say you're no longer interested.

If you're being called on behalf of Bank XYZ or Company ABC for a customer satisfaction / feedback survey they're asking for you because that's the name we were given and want to respect your privacy. How do I know the person on the phone is your spouse or if they're an intruder?? I don't.

Simpy put, if you're not interested or don't want to speak to us: politely tell us 'I'm not interested and could you please take me off your calling list'
I have to pay my bills, I don't do this to aggravate you try to use some common sense

Have rec.d several calls.  Always the same, as soon as the line is picked up the caller disconnects.  Called the number 514-288-0420.  They state they are a Market research company.  Just that - a market research company.  They state that the hang ups must just be some issue with the lines.  Funny - it is only their company and other companies manufacturing persistant and annoying cold calls  - that we seem to have line issues with.

Yes, I got this same call today and they did not even bother to leave me a message though my answering machine is ON.
If you are this company from this telephone number 514-288-0420, please don't call people if you don't want to leave a message.  You are disturbing other people!

Boy do you have a problem.  Who cares about your hefty school fees.  Are you really so full of yourself. Grow up and leave people alone.  Another "who cares" about any of the crap you cited; i.e., the difference between telemarketing and opinion research.  It's all the same when U R bothering people who pay for owning a phone and service to be used at their discretion.   You feel sorry - hah! Then stop calling.  .
No one should have to speak to you to say "stop calling me" or seek out a list to sign up for DO NOT CALL because it shouldn't be happening in the first place.  It should be against the law.  U sound like a moron defending or explaining the invasive business practices of these companies and thinking you have a right to come into people's homes at all hours of the day and night.    Read the comments and complaints - WE are sick of you all.
Get over yourself - UR a telemarketer and deserve any harsh treatment you get on the phone.  Suck it up or  get a real job.  You call yourself a student ... well, you aren't too bright if you don't get how u r negatively affecting people.
