why r they calling

I received a call from this number this morning just got home  no answer fell asleep with phone ear still on the line hour later

they called my work number and it was dead silence at first and I held on about 15 or 20 seconds and then some recorded spam about credit cards started blaring and I hung up.  [***]!!!

I rec'c a call about 9:40 today - no one was on the other end - silence and then hung up. Who is this that is calling me?

Got a call they left a message, It was some type of credit card  offer.I could not hear her too well sounds like it was a call outside of the U.S they wanted me to call back and have my credit card statement ready. Lady had an accent it might be one of those foreign scams you hear a lot about on television.Not gonna call them back sounds like a scam.

I got a call from this same number... 571-261-0045.. when i called back it was busy

called 9:38am CST. i didn't answer...

Constantly call my home phone, cell phone and fax machine all day, everyday.  When I pick up, them hang up!?  Why bother me with calls?

Same thing. Nothing on the other line at 9:28am 2/4/09 and  i also got a call from this same number few days ago around the same time but didnt answer it that time...

Automated from "KATHY" is correct...see above post. I've gotten this message before. I have a great idea...let's legalize drugs, let out the millions in jail for simple possession, and make mandatory sentences for the smammers, uninvited solicitors like this that take more than my tax money (i.e. minutes on cell, time, bandwidth, etc...)

Think about it - it'd be a win/win. No worries for the justice system about tax allocation once the drug offenders are out...the jails would still be full!

Me also, picked up to silence. Does anyone know where we can report this?

I keep tell'n ya'll, it's my recently passed on 97yr old mother! Whoever gets the call would you please relay to her that Max the cat has started eating again and she has ANOTHER great, great grandaughter and we are all doing well. Also let her know that we will see her again this summer at Lake Tahoe! Don't forget to bring fishing pole and water skis!

i didnt answer the phone when they called. they left a message and said for me to call 18007066208. something about i loan i have been approved for. If i have been approved for a loan that i never applied for, I would like to have a human speaking on the other line. not some computer -generated message named kathy!!!!!!!

Caller left a voice mail (pre recorded) message on cell phone at 9:44 PST on 11/12/2008, "Hi, this is Cathy with Financial Freedom.  You may recall receiving a letter saying you've been approved to consolidate your credit cards down to as low as a 1.5% interest rate.  This is not a new loan.  You've already been approved by a certified non-profit agency.  So if you can please have your statements ready when you call, my number is 1-800-706-6208.  Again, my name is Cathy and you can reach me at 1-800-706-6208 until 10 tonight.  Thanks and have a great day."

This is Financial Freedom. They are trying to get you to consolidate your bills with them. It is just a junk mail call.
