Anything you tell them will be used against you, period.

Some rude [***] tried to ply me for personal information without telling me what he wanted. I told him he could tell me what he wants and I would take his number and call him back, but then he acts like I'm gonna be sorry I didn't give him personal data. He says he is going to 'note in his log that I officially didn't accept his call' whatever that is supposed to mean, and then tells me he is going to 'terminate this call'. Obviously a scam artist.

chris must work for pezzuto.  This is a debt collector for a scam from Bank of America - using credit cards to charge nsf fees to without the customer knowing.  I smell a major class action lawsuit coming.

Wow pam wake up it's a debt collection law firm you must be one of those whose wages are being garnished.

We have received numerous calls and messages demanding to talk to Michael Yager- I DO NOT KNOW WHO THAT IS. I have told them that everytime they call and they assure me they will not call again. NOT...the next week, someone new calls with the same message- This is the law office of Joe Pezzuto.  It is imperative that Michael Yager call us as soon as possible or legal action will be taken.
I am soooo tired of this.  I do not know a Michael Yager.

Wow chris! You're obviously working for these scum bags. Your posts are the only ones that have Google ads in them. Listen people--A DEBT COLLECTOR CANNOT GARNISH YOUR WAGES. ONLY THE GOVT CAN DO THAT FOR BACK TAXES, UNPAID CHILD SUPPORT, ETC. IT IS NOT AGAINST THE LAW TO NOT PAY YOUR CREDIT CARD DEBT. YOU CANNOT BE ARRESTED. Local Law Enforcement have alot better things to do then go arrest someone for not paying their bills. Get educated. Google "Fair Debt Collection Practices Act" Do not communicate with them in any way other than in writing. Do not pay them a penny. If you want to settle the debt contact the original creditor.

What Texas said is right on the money.  Scare tactics is all they have.  Do not ever answer their phone calls or talk to them.  In time they will stop.  They bought your bad debt for maybe ten cents on the dollar and if they can scare the uninformed out there into at least paying part of their credit card debt then they've made a pile of money.  They are bottom feeders, trying anything to scare you.  When you see a law firm attached to any form of communication most people get scared and worried. Don't, they CANNOT attach your wages as Texas said.  All they can do is ruin your credit rating.  mine is already ruined so who gives a damn.

I got a call from 602-274-9911 from a Chris Fuller.  He called looking for an employee at our company.  He was the most rude individual.  Our employees do not generally get phone calls at work, but we are happy to take messages and pass them on.  I said the employee was unavailable and I would be happy to take a message.  He harassed me looking for a time when he could call and speak with this person.  I said I was not giving him any information but I would be happy to take his down and give it to the employee.  He asked if I was just the receptionist?  He told me he needed to speak to someone who would be more helpful.  I hung up after he spouted off.
BTW that employee was sitting across the desk from me when you called.  Try being polite maybe you will get farther?????

They called my fiance and harrassed the heck out of him for information. I happened to google the law office and told him to hang up - no lawyer I ever heard of would spout off profanities that way.

Oh man, these people call my job every day, they call my husband, and they even call my father (who I haven't lived with in over 7 years!!). It is really embarrassing. I don't know what to do. I do not have the money, and I don't know what to do.

They are affiliate with bank of america, the guy i talked to wanted me to pay 3300 by the end of today. he needs to know all people dont have wages like him, i have 2 kids to support, im trying to find a job, my husband makes alittle over minium wage, and he has to pay 359 amonth for child support, they wanted me to settle for 300 amonth, then income tax time got here pay my settlement, and he kept demanding for a check over the phone, i told him no, thats not right, i ask for everything in writing by email, he said fine, they he got mad cause i told him i found out they werent a real law firm it was a law firm within a collection agency, and i said i will contact FTC he said im getting off here, and he hung up on me, that was an hour ago, have complaints call FTC, and your states attorney general's office. have these people stopped.

AND BY THE WAY IM STILL WAITING FOR my writing about my balance.

Texas was right all the way.. The next time they call ask for them to send you something in righting, and if they can not do that then tell them you will report them to your Attorney General's Office in whatever state your in..They have to send you in a form of a bill of what you owe them, and they will never do that..I deal with these kind of people every day for other people, so don't let it get to you.

Harrassing phone calls!!!!

You people are idiots especially you Texas. Debt collections agencies do have the right to sue or garnish your wages or put a lien on your house if it meets legal criteria and is within the SOL date. Who seriously takes legal advice over the internet? Aside from that just pay your bills you obviously were too irresponsible to pay the original creditor so maybe consider taking a step in the right direction.

Just for your information.  There are reasons why some people do not pay their credit card bills.  ALL ARE NOT DEADBEATS!!!  I paid my bills every single month on time and paid more than the minimum each month.  I suffered a heart attack and was laid off from my job.  Almost a year later...still out of work and yes, I'm pounding the pavement everyday looking for work. How rude of you to lump everyone into a single category, deadbeat.  Some things are beyond human control...when will you learn?
