- Mei replies to chris| 2 repliesI just went around with this [***]. violated the law big time. Am sending the following response back to him:
Dear Mr. Pezzuto,
I do not have the money your representative pressured me into agreeing to. Additionally, your representative, broke the law. TITLE VIII - DEBT COLLECTION PRACTICES [Fair Debt Collection Practices Act] was violated multiple times.
Therefore, be advised that the debt is cancelled based upon to the following provision of the above law.
(b) Any person who violates this section shall be liable to the same extent and in the same manner as a debt collector is liable
under section 813 for failure to comply with a provision of this title.
Research of your organization shows that this to be a habitual practice of Joe Prozzuto. Your organization has a C BBB rating. There are numerous filed reports of The Law Offices of Joe Prozzuto breaking this law, violating the rights of numerous other creditors.
Do not call me again. DO NOT ACCESS MY CREDIT REPORTS AGAIN. Should you persist in contacting me, contact my attorney:
HOW DO WE GET A CLASS ACTION SUIT GOING IMMEDIATELY. Together we can nail this creep. Morally and ethically, we must to prevent him from harming others. - SusanI have been getting calls from this number for someone I do not know. I know it was def a collection agency. Now I pay all my bills so I know they are not calling for me. After reading all these comments I bet most of you are getting calls for yourself.... And coming to complain about a company just trying to do their job? Why? Just get off the Internet and call and work something out. No wonder the economy is in a crises... People borrowing money they do not have and refuse to pay it back smh. FYI if your getting a call and do not owe money then do what I did. I called and told them they had the wrong number and they have not called back since.
- Caller: Law office of joe Pezzuto

- Kristie| 1 replyI have been called by this number and serves a summons which is bogus by this law firm, Joe Pezzuuto. I received a summons with my name and some bogus name for my non-existent husband.
- Caller: Joe Pezzuto Law Office
- Call type: Debt collector
- Kristie replies to KristieAnd I do not owe the bogus company any money either. So i am complaining about something that is not even my debt. That's what this Who Calls Me is for, so if you don't have a problem, stay on a site that does apply to you.
- PamVery Very unprofessional and rude. All in your personal business and asking inappropriate questions. they need to be shut down pernamently.
- Caller: Joe Pezutto

- PhantomAirman replies to TexasIt's true that a debt collection agency cannot garnish your wages. Ultimately, all a collection agency can do is turn your account over to a law firm or attorney to file a lawsuit to collect the debt. If the creditor wins the lawsuit they will get a judgment for a specific amount. Once that judgment is filed of record, then the judgment holder can execute on it to have it satisfied out of the seizure and sale of your property or the garnishment of your wages. Most jurisdictions (states) do permit garnishment of wages, usually within statutorily defined limits, in order to satisfy (pay-off) a judgment that has been obtained against you.
- PhantomAirman replies to Law Office of Joe PezzutoWhat a totally unprofessional message from a bottom feeder of the legal profession. Yes, people are liable for the payment of their debts and collection attorneys are an accepted part of the system. However, lawyers are held to higher standards of conduct than the general public and such a insulting message from a member of the Bar and an officer of the court reflects poorly on the entire legal profession. There are rules of profesional ethics in every state that govern attorney conduct, which includes communications. Anybody interested enough in this clown should just report his message to the AZ Bar Disciplinary Board or it's equivalent. It will not be ignored and the hostile, immature Mr. Pezzuto might even get sanctioned over it.
I bet this guy relies almost exclusively on obtaining default judgments (when people do not answer the complaint or appear to defend themselves) just to keep the office open and meet payroll for the entourage of people who are so desparate or pitiful that they need to work at such a firm. Even if you owe the money, there are various ways to defend the suit based upon rules of due process, evidence and procedure, which these mass collection firms almost invariably violate. - Billy SmithCalled me asking for a Denise Valdez. WTF?
- JuanTejano replies to MeiYeah, I've been fending off calls from this jerk and his joke of a "law firm" for the last couple of months. Look, I lost my job, got way behind on my bills and am now just trying to make it paycheck to paycheck - sorry if your "law firm" doesn't come before paying my mortgage or putting food on the table. They called wanting to make a "settlement", which was like a 5% reduction. When advised we couldn't pay that, but would be willing to work out another plan - we were told "Nope, he won't accept that. If you can't pay the entire sum we are just going to have to recommend legal action against you". So now they call me at least twice a day - from different numbers too, in different states! And for all you idiots standing up for these people - I don't even know what to say except karma's a [***]! I'm so tired of dealing with these people. I don't leech off the government, I do my best to pay what I can towards my debt, I work full time and go to school full time, what more can I do? ANYONE WHO THESE JERKS THREATEN - DO YOUR RESEARCH, FIND OUT WHAT YOUR RIGHTS ARE AND FIGHT BACK!
- dirk diggler replies to Texasu can be garnished, with the exception of a few states for non payment of debt. actually can be arrested, example the creditor asks you to come in for a debtors exam and u flake, u can be arrested, get educated please google the law and understand what can and cant happen. no your laws i agree, just make sure wen u post on the internet your really sure what your talking about as it may make you look like a fool.
- Pete replies to ChrisWake up Chris Pezzuto's people call asking for someone you don't even know just to get information on you.
- ShuffyI got a call from this number and claimed it was Chris. I asked who they are and they refused to disclose their information. I found out that they have a bunches of offices and lowlife unprofessional work there. BAR should ban them and put them out of office. They are bad people.
