These guys called me telling me that I qualify for a $5000.00 rebate on energy saving products. Tried to call back to change the appointment, but the number was disconnected. I will cancel when they call back.

The sad truth is the company Green Monster USA, is now in the DFW, Austin markets, and who knows where else, PREYING on unsuspecting good folks, most of whom have not a clue about the illegal activities this company is practicing.  It has been brought to my attention, and therefore several others as well, that Green Monster USA is operating via an "outsourced" group, which is actually their own group of telemarketers now using a seperate businessa name.
The reason?  Bad reports on Green Monster USA with BETTER BUSINESS BUREA!!!  People.....report them to the BBB!!!  They are lying when calling anyone, especially if you are on the no call lists.  They are just going to keep-on-keeping-on, until they get shut down.  Supposedly they are in sixteen different markets.  Yea....right!   The other thing to remember is, all it takes for EVIL to prevail, is for good folks to just sit back and do nothing.  We need everybodys help here.....call ONCORE too, and let them know you are dissatisfied with the companys practices.  Call your Arlington, Irving, etc. officials!!!  The powers that be can only help if summoned.  I called the news teams and they are all looking HARD at the Pheonix, AZ.  and Texas Groups.   You should call them too!  And a 30% tax credit on RADIANT BARRIER....not sooooo fast!  Its 10%, period.

This number kept calling me every week so I finally answered today.  They introduced themselves as the Coalition for Energy Savings.  I asked if they were a government agency, and they said no they were a private company.  I asked if they were paid by a company selling something like AC or solar panels and they denied it.

They claimed they could get me money from federal energy savings rebate programs.  I told them lots of companies selling AC units and solar panels tell people that.  They claimed to be able to get the money without first having to buy something and then applying for a rebate later.  When pushed on that point later they backed off and said to ask the consultant.

While they were going through their spiel I googled the number and found all your comments about Green Monster.  They finished their "qualification process" - mostly just asking whether I was the homeowner.  Then they used their scheduling system to have a consultant "automatically assigned" to me and surprise surprise - I was randomly assigned to Green Monster.

So I told them I wanted a different consultant (just to see what they'd do) and they said they couldn't override their system.  I told them I looked them up and found information that they were fronting for Green Monster and they denied it.  I asked them to name one other "consultant" company they had ever scheduled for anyone and they couldn't name any.

We got caller ID a while back so I no longer answer the phone from unpublished numbers.  This number has called here several times in the past week.  I haven't answered and they never left a message.  Having seen the post above, I will make sure I don't answer.  And, of course, when you tell them you are on the do-not-call list, they will say, "Well, we definitely screen our numbers through there, but now and then one slips through."  Yeah, right!  And, it just happens to always be MY number!

Just got a call from these guys... seemed kinda fishy someone was asking me about my credit.  Pulled up BBB.org, these guys have 13 complaints filed.  Thanks for all the postings. I called back the local office and canceled, only after discovering the apparent cell phone number was disconnected. At least someone from the company picked up and knew what I was talking about and was nice when I canceled.  Note to self, have the computer pulled up and checking the background on any of these companies before agreeing to anything..

Fake call. Said they represented a government agency to help us save money with a free home survey on loss energy. When called back a recording came on that this number was no longer in service. I appears to be an in house answering device to imply no service. Very fishy.....

I have had there consultation done and it actually was a good experience. He told me I didnt qualify due to the amount of taxes I paid (which my accountant verified). I am glad he was honest and didnt try to tell me I got a large tax credit that I wouldnt even get. He also made a bunch of reccomendations. I think people have just been burned so many times, its tough to take anything as legitimiate anymore, even if it could help you. He also explained how they have just signed on with home depot for the area im in (dfw). I cant verify it, but if thats the case I dont think we have anything to worry about. Also, based on what I could gather, the savings that they garuantee is supposed to be more than you have to pay, leaving you saving money without anything up front. Sounds smart to me! I guess im just optimistic!

I just received a call from this "group".  I asked if I was going to be assigned to Green Monster and she replied yes.  I told them thanks, but, no thanks and  to remove me from their calling list or I would report them to the FCC for making repeated unsolicited calls when asked to be removed from the list..

Thanks for all of your posts.  I looked thru my phone and they have called me over a dozen times in the past few months.  I filed a complaint with the FTC.  I was going to file one with BBB, but they have an "F" rating and have been booted out of BBB.  Hopefully someone will take their phones away!  With my luck, when that happens, they will start going door to door.  I guess if that happens, at least I can sic my dog on them! ;)

Incredible the type of conspiracy and hatred that come from just getting a phone call. Alright, I used to work for this company and left on good terms. The coalition for energy savings is a marketing outsource company that does pre-qualifying to set up home energy audits, consultations and sales appointments. They tend to work with green monster in a majority of there appts that are set. Green m. Facilitates these consultations by sending someone out to the home. Its all legitimate and those who are acting like this is one big scam are simply being paranoid. I had a good experience not only with the company but with the amount of good that these will do for people's budgets and the enviroment. I will say that this is not some big handout program, which a lot of people tend to think. Take my explanation or leave it. But most people on here need to come up with better things to do. A lot of people and my friends hold jobs with them in this tough economy, so pls be respectful of that.
