These people have been calling almost every day, sometimes a couple times a day, but never leave a message.  Today, sick of the phone ringing off the hook I answered it.  The guy originally asked for "George" and I told him he had the wrong number.  Then he told me he was looking for the homeowner and asked if I was the home owner.  I asked him if this was a "sales call" and he said "no" and again asked if I was the home owner.  I told him that I was not going to disclose that information to him and that it was none of his business if I was the home owner or not.  he then proceeded to start talking (saying that the call was about $5000 for making my home more energy efficience) to which I started talking over him telling him that I did not care to listen to anything more that he had to say and asked that he take me off his calling list.  He said "my pleasure" and hung up.  Hopefully they will not be calling again.  I HATE sales calls and consequently I am not nice to the telemarketers.

Legit or not, they need to adhere to the Do Not Call registry.  If consumers don't want to be bothered at home, then they don't want to be bothered at home.  No one likes telemarketers and perhaps, if they want to get the word out, they can advertise by use of mailers, flyers, radio and/or television...all of which are proven to be more effective ways of advertising anyway.

When I declined the free analysis I was told:  "if you are not interested in saving energy, then I don't want to waste your time."  I replied:  "I appreciate that very much."
I'm also on the do not call list but recognized this as a telemarketing call "in disguise."

Everytime I get a call from this number, there is silence and a hang up.  I call it back and it says the number is out of service.  VERY annoying!

I live in Arizona so I picked up the phone even though they called at 8:15 am.  No name was displayed on caller id, but I thought it might be someone I know.  As I understand them, the FTC rules say telemarketers may not call before 9:00 am local time. A recording told me to hold for the next available operator,so I hung up. I don't hold for people who call me.

If this is that energy company, they are a scam.  You can receive a free energy review and rebates etc. through the local utility companies.

Great program, cut my utility bills down by a lot. didnt cost me anything then what I was already paying. Works directly with my local utility provider Oncor to approve incentives. Take it or leave it. Took a chance on a cold call, but yeah its annoying sometimes. I wouldnt be so worried, and btw im on the do not call list and im almost certain its just a ploy for the government to make us feel like we are "protected". the government sucks at most everything they do.

Please stop calling!!!!!!

I called this number back and got one lengthy ring then a recording stating the number was no longer in service.  Whatever..

My home was built in 2008. It's energy-star certified.  I don't need a 'push' to modify my home in any way.  I think what you're missing is that although it's a job, the calls that are being made are UNWANTED.  There's no need to invade people's privacy--especially those who pay extra for phone  services like a non-published number and Privacy Plus [me].  Send some literature so I can look at it then throw it away.

Telemarketer, although he denied he was selling anything.  Wanted to set me up for an "energy audit," promising $5000 of free government money to make energy improvements to my home.  I'm skeptical of telemarketers in general, so I asked for a website where I could review the information.  He said energysavingsalliance.org.  I Googled it by looking for "energy savings alliance" before going there, and the web site did appear in the first page of search results, but McAfee's safety rating system rated it questionable (rather than giving the green light to go there), so I didn't go.  Could be legit; or maybe not.  I'm not taking a chance on a questionable web site and a telemarketer.

phone number 734-0460 displays name ESA. they don't leave a msg, yet they have called EVERYDAY this week.  really pissing me off!!!!

Scottsdale, AZ. They call three times a week or so. I just don't answer it. I get these types of calls all the time. Glad I spent the X-tra on 'caller ID'. Sometimes, I don't even answer my mother's calls. Leave a message!:)

I'd be respectful if they were respectful.  We have a no-call system set up, yet the caller ignored that and continued with the process that allows the call to come through.  Then after my wife was gracious enough to answer all his questions, she politely said she would check the website as the infomation he gave sounded useful.  Instead of letting it go at that, he began to pressure my wife to allow him to make an appointment for someone to come to our house.  Again she refused politely.  He followed up with statements intended to make her feel as if she was ignorant and not able to understand the ramifications of her not setting up an appointment immediately.  My wife is a Nurse Practitioner with two B.S. degrees, and I have a B.S. and a MBA.  I believe we are capable enough to make up our own minds--especially after he ingnored the fact we do not accept unsolicited calls.  The economy may be tough, but that's no excuse for rudeness or poor customer service.

They already do, Under the name Green Monster. The name ESA is just a scam they use to get homeowners to schedule appointments, because of Green Monster's bad BBB rating

We get these calls on a WEEKLY basis and I am so sick of our phone ringing.  I have told these people over and over about 20 times to STOP CALLING US!  I advised them that we are on the DO NOT CALL LIST, but they do not care!  They still keep calling and will never stop!  I have told them over and over we are not interested and the guy actually got mad at me and started to argue with me on why I was not interested.  THEY WILL NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!  They are scammers trying to get money out of you!
