My calls came from "Angel".  I ignored the first 2 messages she left suspecting a scam but decided to return her message from this morning.  They make a great pretext of being a legitimate business -- putting you on hold while they transfer you and again while Angel located my file.  While on hold, I pulled up this website, so I was fully prepared for her speech.  I let her ramble on then told her that I had neither ordered nor accepted any such publication and this she was calling a law firm and that her client should go ahead and proceed with filing a claim against us, as I was pretty sure I could obtain representation here.  I wished her good luck with her law suit and asked if she needed anything else from me.  She hung up.  We really are a law firm but you can feel free to use that one on her even if you're not!

We just got the same call from ICR, and my boss had dealt with this in the past.  They say that you have a "past due invoice" then that you are going to collections.  DON'T give them money.  If you ask them to give you proof they will stop calling.  You can also just state that you know it's a scam.

SAME STORY HERE FOLKS!! I spoke to Amanda who is by far the most unproffesional collector and  who claimed to be her own manager. I insisted on speaking to someone highter than her but she refused to tranfer the call.. This is a SCAM FOLKS report this company to the better business Bureau..

I work in Hotels in the Gulf Shores area, I received a cold call back in July of 2011 trying to sell safety information services from Progressive Business Publications. I simply requested an email stating what  services PBP provided so I could make a better determination if there services could be useful. The email come with a Log on & password information to their website. After reading their email I decided their services were not helpful and would not be needed and replied to the email stating that their services would not be needed, Serveral months later I received a reply email stating that they where in receipt of my email and regreatful that I would not be using their services. Nothing further received from the company at all, no bills or publications.

In the begining of May 2012 I starting getting HIGH PRESSURE collection calls from a "International Credit" or "International Credit Recovery" company stating that I owed them money and to pay now. An offer was made to cut the $ 299.00 membership fee down to $130.00 if i agreed to pay today via Credit Card. I requested time to find my back ups in reference to cancelling their services (emails, Bills, Accounts Receivable ect...) before paying which "Angie" International Credit Recovery agent refused and demanded payment immediately, RED FLAG. I was informed that several bills were sent along with several News Letter Issues which were not received by myself, department, or Accounts Depart "RED FLAG". An Invoice was requested from the ICR for money owed, no explaination of what was owed only Pay $299 or $130 to cancel was faxed over. No back up information of when bills were sent ect. When back ups were requested from Progressive Business Publications or Contract information for PBP was requested their "High Pressure" tacts kicked in to High Gear. I blow these people off for serval days, on their 3rd call and high pressured call yet they placed me on hold. Thas when i started to google their tell phone numbers and started to find case after case of Fraud alligations and BBB complaints in the Hundreds. When confronting them with this information and threatenting to file complaint cases against them their like okay, whatever and back off completely.

I am in the middle of a battle with these folks.. i was told the same thing.. I used my date of birth, etc.. I refuse to pay and i will threaten them also with my attorney.

To let all know, all the #’s below are associated with them.  Believe me, I probably am on their bad list after getting another call today.  These are all #’s I have, which have showed up on our caller id etc.  Have done a lot of research and reading other comments on them.  DON’T LET THEM GET TO YOU.

They called me twice today and when I called back they refused to answer any questions.  The "manager" Michelle was so rude.  I told them it was a scam and they hung up

I received the same phone call, Becky from ICR called me as well, I spoke with her and her supervisor, both were extremely rude and even hung up on me.  Progressive Business Publications said i signed up for a trial offer.  I never received any magazines as well and because i did not call and cancell they continued to bill us for 5 more months of service, then when we did not pay, they sent us to collections.  I asked Progressive Business Publications to provide me with proff either the recorded phone conversation I supossidley had or the email I supossidley sent signing up for their offer.  She could not find either and finally said she would call ICR to remove from our record...We'll see if that actually happneds.

Woman by the name of Katie was calling to say that in November I agreed to a 30-trial for some magazine.  I never agree to anything especially a 30-day trial.  The company owes $94 to Progressive or the account will go into collections.  Fine I say, send it to collections because I didn't agree to anything nor did I receive anything.  You know what they didn't say - "This call is to collect a debt, etc."  Totally hinkey and I'm not paying.

Received a call on a bill for a magazine I never would have ordered and they are dunning us.  Kathy would not give me to a supervisor or an owner to discuss.

I also got a call from this company. Samantha from ICT said that because I provide my email address and did not cancel it within the trial period means I agree to subscibe it.

Does anyone know where we can report this to a government agent to stop them?
I want them get what they deserve!!!!

I was just contacted by International Credit Recovery trying to collect $240.00 for a publication I never ordered from Progressive Business Pub.  As many have said before, they claimed that having my birth date was proof I ordered the publication.  The agent "Kelly" faxed me an invoice that was supposedly sent to me months ago. I have never received anything from Progressive Business Pub - not the supposed newsletter they sold me, or an invoice.  What a bunch of crooks.

yes, all of this just happened to me as i am googling the credit recovery company and Administrative Professional Update. i believe BOTH are committing FRAUD. i do NOT intend to pay $0.01 for this. has anyone's credit been effected by these criminals?

I asked her to repeat the information she had to justify that we received such bogus publications she mentioned the following;

I realized she was a fraud, when I know the postal service cannot release any information like such. When I asked her for her contact number to call her back she gave me the above number and hung up quickly. When I called the number, I was put on hold and no one picked up after.

The same thing happened with me, and it was Amanda who called.  She was offering for me to pay only $130 if I gave her a credit card number or overnighted a check.  I also told her that I only accepted the trial membership and had cancelled the newsletter but she insisted that because I continued to accept the newsletter, I still owed the money!  What a joke!  I hung up on her and she immediately called back, was very rude to our receptionist and demanded to speak to an owner of the company.  Fortunately, she went into my voice mail and she me a very rude message about being hung up on as well as left another threat to contact the owner of the company.  She'll have a hard time doing that since I am an owner!  Don't pay these people anything!  This is a scam!

More of the same that everyone else has posted.  The second call though she tried the angle that I'd been sent an email and that by not responding I'd agreed to it.  This conversation went around and around!  I just kept asking that they send me the email again because I could not find it.  She then asked for my email.  Really?  Did I sound that dumb?  Anyway, neither caller ever produced anything that I asked for and the last time they called I gave them the number of our attorney, said I was recording the conversation and told them not to call me or anyone at our company again.  Haven't heard anything since.

We received a call from International Credit Recovery. Same story. Progressive Business Publications sent us a newsletter we never ordered, then began billing us claiming our CEO ordered the newsletter. Mail to their address was returned to us, and I could find no phone number; there was no way to tell them we never ordered the newsletter and to request that they stop sending it. And now they've turned us over to ICR who began calling a couple of weeks ago. It's a scam.

Much the same story as all of the others.  I received a call from Internation Credit Recovery stating that I had ordered some bulletin for managers and supervisors and that I owe $408.96.  I told her that I didn't recall ordering it and she said that I personally did last December.  I asked why I haven't received any invoices and knew nothing about it until she called, and she had no answer for me.  I asked her to send me a copy of an invoice and she did.  Ironically, it states that I ordered the bulletin for 8 people.  I manage a hotel and we don't have 8 supervisors and managers on property!  To make matters worse, she called MY PERSONAL CELL PHONE (I have no idea how she got the number) AT 5:48AM today wanting a check number for payment.  I saved the voicemail.  This is an absolute fraud and these people are crooks.  I will not authorize one cent in payment and I am referring them over to our corporate legal department.
