Rec'd a call from "Katie" re: "Past due invoice" for $198.00. She gave me web address http://www.intlcreditrec.com/MAKE-PAYMENT.html to make the payment to.
Once paid she would fax me a copy of the original invoice and stated she would remove me from Progressive Business Solutions mailing list.
Hope this helps others when approached by this company.

I have received 3 calls now from this company - International Credit Recovery. the lady states on my voice mail here at work that there is an unpaid invoice for my company with my name on it. She indicated that it was a small balance and needs to be taken care of today, prior to her sending it before the "judge" (?) interesting!  I tried calling back and after the phone rang 8 times, I got an answering machine. I did not leave a message.  Now, after reading these posts, I see that it is a scam.

Looks like these people are still at it.  We were harrassed recently by International Credit Recovery trying to collect on a bogus phone call to someone in our office regarding a $299.00 invoice for a Safety Compliance Alert.  The name of the company doing the selling on the phone is Progressive Business Publications whom we have had many problems with in the past.  They get some unsuspecting person's name and they are off and running.

International Credit Recovery tries to collect by intimidation and fast double talk.  Just stick to your guns and tell them you are not paying for anything you did not order.  They will say they are submitting to their legal department.  I tell them to do whatever-we are still not paying!!!

I have been contacted by Lindsey at ICR stating that I owe almost $200 for Administrative Professional Update. We are a 3 person company and do not even have an Admin. Additionally, they called about a month ago trying to collect for a safety bulletin. She indicated that she will not take me off of their solicitation list until I pay and that they have over 60 publications that I may have been potentially signed up for at $299 per year. Let me be clear in that we have never received any newsletters at all even though they claim they are sent by email and hard copy in the mail.  I did not pay and it doesn't seem fair that I should pay for a service I never received, ordered, or benefited from financially or professionally.

Got a call today from Bobbi Philpot.  Said it looked like an "oversight" on a bill and needed to get it paid.  It was a voicemail.  I went to web site to check the company and found this site.  Needless to say, I will not be returning the call.  Love sites like this that disclose these scams.

Same thing happened to me. Name of representative was Angel. Threatened to contact my boss and go above my head as well. This is ludacris. These people should be stopped!!!

Progressive Business Publications and International Credit Recovery are scam companies, plain and simple. They use deceptive practices to offer free trial subscriptions to their newsletters which really aren't free then claim that by providing certain information, it serves as your verbal acceptance to billed subscription. They then keep invoicing every month, and even when you contact them and request cancellation, they won't do it and keep on invoicing. When you don't pay they forward you to their debt collector who then begins contacting and harrassing and threatening collection actions unless the account is paid in full.  

If you go to the Better Business Bureau site you will see that this company has hundred and hundreds of similar complaints and has earned an F rating by the BBB. If you start getting harassed by these folks, refuse to pay and stand up and tell them to go jump off a cliff. They keep threatening me and my employer with collection actions and won't stop. Whatever you do, do not cave in to their demands. Tell them you have filed a complaint with the BBB.

received a voicemail from "Angel" stating our company owes them money, before returning the call I checked here and see it is bogus so I will not be calling them back!  Thank you!!!

I'm reading all of this Bogus information! November 23 2012! I suddenly I'm TIFFANY JONES..many have heard of her in Sedalia,Missouri! I called this agency they hung up on me! LOL I actually have had many people who have heard the name Tiffany Jones..she is wanted on Tips Hot Line in Sedalia..county is Pettis! I found this out and all HELL broke loose in my LIFE! SEMPERFI has kept me going! Laugh of the day..I have been on Casenet.com 2 times! I'm amazed funny Law Enforcement don't have a CLUE! this situation REEKS FRAUD! God Bless..this mess will go away I'm a victum myself!

Kathy Rema called me today stating she was a Credit Manager for International Credit Recovery, a collection agency.  She was attempting to collect $195.50 for 1 yr subscription to Progressive Business Publications that I supposed ordered by providing my birth date.  I asked if she had a recorded call or written authorization & she replied that my date of birth was proof I ordered the publication.  Because I didn't respond to the bogus invoice I received made me (meaning my company) legallly liable for payment & my company would be reported today without immediate payment.  I refused to provide my credit card information & requested a fax with all information.  Kathy stated she would send that & I haven't received it as of yet.  She stated that once she sent the fax I would have to overnight the payment to here by Friday (Feb.8th) in order to avoid corp. collections.  

I did lose my patience with her & raised my tone.  She stated I was hostile.  I stated that I simply didn't have time to be harassed over fraudulent orders and finally she accepted my fax.  I'm still awaiting - I will  pursue.  This isn't the first fraudulent company I've dealt with but, really????  I have much better things to do with my time at work!!!!

This is a scam company that tries to convince you that you've ordered business publications over the telephone.
It's total BS.

I was contacted by the same company as the others and was told they had my birthdate. They said I owed them 253.00 for a business publication.  And if I did not give them my credit card number they were going to call my boss. I told them I called the company and told them I did not order the publication. The woman at the credit recovery company said that was impossible because they did not have a phone number! I had gotten the number from the internet because there was no number on the invoices. What a scam!

Just got the same type of call from someone named Lindsey. Stated they had my DOB and if I did not pay up they will contact my boss. More power to them.
