was on the phone with some one else when they called.  don't have voicemail set up, so they got nothing from me.  caller id was a long string of numbers, so didn't think it was legit.  looked up the number and came to this site.

A pox on these miscreants! make their annoying calls everyday! By Zeus, I've half a mind to call upon Uncle Poseidon to release the Kraken to crush the odious fools!  Hades take them all and may their shades languish forgotten and covered by maggots in the depths of Tartaros!

    Perfect,

Just what you should do. Block all offending numbers. My system allows me to block individual numbers or block an area code plus the prefix or block the entire area code. It works great! When I started receiving calls from the Dominican Republic, I just blocked the entire area code.

I've been getting these calls for over 2 years now.  I receive them at home and at work.  Of course, at work, they don't know who they want to speak to when I ask.  They're just looking for any working number and anyone they can scam.  I've taken to pressing "1" to speak to an operator, since pressing "3" to be "removed from the list" doesn't work.  When an operator comes on, I scream as loudly as I can, "Quit calling my number!!!".  They don't like that, lol, and will then put you on repeat call.  I just repeat myself & then block the call.  Call blockins is only a temporary fix, however.  These people keep 'hijacking' phone numbers.  Don't necesary post whose number this legitimately is - they are stealing the number for a short time until the owner finds out.  The federal government is lax in their enforcment of this.  Good luck.

It about lower your interest rate due to the financial stimulus. It goes on to say this is my second and final notice. However I have been getting about 2 calls every week. This robo call does not give an option to opt out. I thought the FCC was cracking down on calls from Rachel promoting the same thing. Obviously they just moved their motif operandi to a different phone number

If the FCC is powerless in stopping these annoying and repetitive calls this is a good place to cut the budget and close the whole department. If they need assistance in who is causing issues al they need to do is look here on the web but I guess that's asking too much.

Another number to block.  The person who didn't say their name or company until I asked was trying to sell rate reductions on my credit card.  I asked to be removed from their calling list because this number is on the DNC and she hung up on me.  I think that the DNC was created to develop a definitive list of numbers that WILL be called.  I new the average citizen was screwed when the Feds acknowledged that they are powerless to stop these calls.  I find it incredible that the USA intelligence agencies can't discover the origination of these calls.  Here's my suggestion:  follow the money.  That's my rant.  Now back to blocking calls.

I also got the call, but I didn't mind the call, Why, because I bought a Digitone Call Blocker.  www.digitone.com The first time they call, it rings my phone and the call comes through. I then block the number and the next time they call, my phone doesn't even ring and the blocker hangs up on them. You can even block entire area codes. I have it setup to block any incoming calls with the 855 area code. The blocker keeps track of all calls, good and bad ones. Then I like to check to see who got hung up on just for fun like I am now.

You need to buy one of these, you’ll like it. No monthly fees either

I have reported these calls to the Attorney General. If one number gets cancelled, they seem to call from another one. Stop calling. I will never answer these calls.
