Got a 'consultantcy recruiting' call from Chris with Ridgetop Research LLP.  My research has connected the NYC address in his email to Casimir Capital LP and his name to another call message listed on this site.  If anyone has anything to add re: either of these companies, please do.  Thanks.

I got a similar message through a "linked-in" internal email. I'm requesting information from another member who shows as a consultant to the company and is a solid citizen. I'll update later.

Receieved a simlar call myself.  Any further info?

I got a call from them also, with a different number 646-307-4197.  Said that they were doing research on CPAP machines, and they got my info from Monster.

Guys...I'm the president of Ridgetop Research.  We are a boutique independent research firm that works with a small handful of clients.  We are based in NYC and sublease office space from Casimir Capital at 546 5th Ave.

I just got a phone call from this person Chris and he requested info on Home Properties on Long Island. I was annoyed but called him back. He originally called my office and they gave him my cell phone . Inquiring about properties. I could not help him but was annoyed when I googled his phone number and saw all the complanints

I didn't get a call but got e-mails from John Post (through LinkedIn) and from Chip Emery (through Ladders.com).  John Post wants me to "consult" with his client about the printing industry.  According to Ladders Chip Emery is a recruiter who wants to see my resume.  Not much info on the internet about Ridgetop.  Just wondering if who and what they really are.  Any additional info would be appreciated.

I did proceed with the consulting and received payment for my services.  I recently performed another consult for them and do to be paid next week.  At this point Ridgetop Research appears to be legitimate.

anyway I do not trust this guy.

I got called from John Post as well. They are legit. They are a Technical Advisory Service, like VISTA Research and Gerson-Lehman-Group. In fact, Chip Emery, was one of the cofounders of VISTA.

They seem small, but that will not matter to my bank account. As long as they have clients whom I can advise (for a large fee), all is well.

Received a call from Peter Allison at Ridgetop requesting my help with a client that seeks info on for-profit eduction institutions.  Anyone know if they are legit?  I see various opinions on that.

I worked with John Post at Ridgetop in November and they still haven't paid me.  Waiting to hear back from the better business bureau.

So "Bromley" calls me in Ireland about doing some research on behalf of investors into a company for whom I used to work.

Thing was that the number up on my cell had a +33 prefix, which is the area code (internationally) for France - so I was immediately suspicious.

Google brought me here - amongst other places that set the alarm bells ringing - but I emailed this guy Bromley with some questions that he has - unsurprisingly - failed to answer.

My Irish Republican nose - honed on the streets of Belfast - is telling me that this 'company' - and the guys behind it - need deeper investigation.

I guess Google can help with the names of some US/NY-based organisations that could help.

You people are all insane, I have worked with them and they are legit.  Go to their website or give them a call, I'm sure they would be happy to speak with you about what they do.  They work with clients in helping them research certain industries by doing phone calls with experts in the field.  Sorry pal, your Irish-Republican nose is very inaccurate and maybe thats the reason why the Irish republic in general is in deep trouble.

I received a call from Chip Emery regarding a consulting assignent ... I found him professional, direct and easy to work with ... I completed the consulting assignment and was paid promptly.
