I was called by this number and there was no voicemail left.  I called it back and the recording said it was someone from Ramsey County or the City of St. Paul, but that was a default number that would be displayed on caller ID.

Same as above - no message.

I keep on getting a call from this number too. They asked for Bert the first time and I just said wrong number. Then they called asking again, and again I said wrong number. They kept on calling again and again.

Me too this morning I got a call wasn't home to answer it. I wonder what it's for I don't even live in Ramsey county.

This number called my cell phone but left no message. I don't live in Ramsey county either.

I got the call this morning but I didn't answer it.  You answer then they know the # is good, I think.  At least that's been the case with other #s I've received from in the past.

Received a call from this number at 5:03am, asking for Carol. I told them they had the wrong number and they hung up, without even saying "I'm sorry for waking you". Why is Ramsey County calling people at 5:03am???????

Missed their call.  No message.  Found this page on web and decided not to call back!

Same as above, i've gotten about 10 calls from them, I don't answer any. They leave random messages - for example I got a voicemail that was just jazz music. I wish there was some way to block this number from my phone.

Got the call at 11:00 PM. Jazz music.

got the call - returned the call and was given a new number to call 651-266-8500 - called that number and got live operator who had no idea why the call was made to San Diego area.

It's the ID that shows up for any call coming from the Ramsey County Jail phone lines that inmates use.  That could explain the inability to call back and the calls coming in at all times.

They called for my brother, who is homeless.  She wouldn't tell me what the call was regarding.  She asked me to have him call Susan @ 651-266-4553.  I'm thinking Ramsey County services.

I called the call-back number & got voice mail also.  This person works for Ramsey County Financial Assistance, so the 266-9990 must be the generic I.D. that is attached to their offices - I've seen this done with other companies in the past.  For the record I am in Ramsey County, Minnesota.

I saw this number on my caller ID and didn't answer, but then saw that I had a voicemail. The message was from a friend who works for the City of St Paul, but whose personal line is actually a different number. This is just a generic outgoing line I think.

It is a generic number used by Ramsey County.  The jail, social services, assessors office...  lots of county employees ring out with this number.

This is the phone number that space aliens use to find out if you are home so that they can come and abduct you.

I answered, "Hi, this is [my name]."

She relied with, "[my name]? Oops wrong number."
