Looks to me like verizon customers aren't the only people getting scammed/spammed by these jerks. I had to go straight to T-Mobile to get my number black listed from their texts. Also found out that they had been charging me since last Aug.

I'm happy to say, T-Mobile refunded all my money and has now blocked them from texting me ever again.

same scam happened to me. i called verizon to have it removed and they laughed at me.  they said it wasn't their problem.  the girl laughed repeatedly and told me next time pay attention.  i'm not sure who's worse, the scam people or verizon's customer service reps.

This happened to us and it's a bunch of bull. Companies like this use deceit to prey on folks and the more people who know about this the better. Contact local papers in the Op_Ed section; blog about it; form email chain letters. ANYTHING to educate your friends and put dipsh!t$ like these out of business.

Also, if you're a TMobile customer you can Block chargeable messages, texts and emails.
I suggest you do that.

Since my last comments here 11/9/08, I have gotten my bill for last month. The good news - there was *NOT* any charge.
In addition, I had called Predicto, made it clear (after a little run around) that I did not want anything to do with their company, and I have not received further text spam from them either.
I had called Verizon BEFORE my recent bill, so they were aware of this happening so they would have had justification to credit my account if a charge had shown up. I worked for a competitor of VZW in a call center before, and this was how it all worked.

I don't know what this is but it charged me $9.99

if you text stop to the number 654654 then they will text back that they will not charge you anymore

I called the 800-360-0518 number and spoke with a Predicto supervisor. I told her that my brother, who is twelve years old (underage), said Yes to their text message and unknowingly subscribed to their service.  She said she would send me a refund of the $9.99 charge that was placed on the bill. And that this account would be cancelled.  I had to give her my home address in order for her to send the check (I hope this was not a mistake on my part).

I will closely monitor my next month bill to make sure.  Also, I am going to Verizon today and asking them to stop all premium text messaging to all of my cell phones.

text the word STOP to 654654...This crapp just happened to me and I took soccerchicas advice and texted stop to them and I also received the text back saying that I am unsubscribed and that I will not be charged or receive any more texts from them

I just unsubscribed from this and if any of you guys need the help here is their number, 1-800-360-0518. I texted stop and it unsubscibed me

Never signed up for this, sent me a message with a PIN, I didn't bite.  30 minutes later another text. Last chance! reply YES.  This is a huge scam and not why premium SMS system was created.

Never dealt with them, probably spamming random phone numbers. Such BS!  SHUT THEM DOWN!

I just started 2 get messages from them 2day 12-4-08 for no reason. got 2 of them "1st {ENTER PIN BELLOW for chance 2win $50,000 Play Predicto 4BIG Prizes & Giveaways Svc: 800.2600518 9.99/m 2cxl txt stop T&C: predicto.com Here's YOUR PIN xxxx}" "2nd time{Last Chnce 2win $5,000 grand prize Reply with the word YES to play Predicto! Svc:800.360.0518 9.99/m txt stop2cxl T&C-predicto.com Last Chance Reply YES now!}" I texted stop to the first message got a message back saying I am not yet a memeber txt JOIN to 654654 for Predicto survey game, unlimited voting, cash drawings, $50,000 sweepstakes. info predicto.com. for 2nd message typed stop2cxl like it said got "predicto.com Error unable to understand the text you sent. Please try again or txt HELP" what bull why tell you to type stop ect if you are not even a member and why send txt to me when not a member hardly ever give out cell on-line only give it when entering contests or signing up for stuff with companies that I know are good and well knowen liek say NBC or Disney, ect.

A friend invited my husband to this site called Tagged.com and when he signed up it asked for his cell phone number and it needed to verify his identity by text message.

He thought it was verifying his Tagged.com account. But then he began to get these text messages from 654654.

I took a look at our Sprint bill and found the $9.99 charge from PredictoMobile on there for last month.  

Right now my husband is probably bi***ing the Predicto Mobile folks up one side and down the other on their 800 number.

Thanks to everyone who put info on this site about this scam.

Now we'll see if Sprint will reverse the charge (even though I already paid the bill) and perhaps I can get them to turn off text messaging too (seeing as how we don't pay for it).

OMG! like i was at school and some friends told me that i would get a message to get like a $50000 sweepstake thing... so stupid... it won't stop sending me messages! ugh

I got a text message from 654654 and got charged $10 on my billing.  I just got another.  I will call Cell One.  Can we get these taken off our bills?
