Sending "stop" works. Got it from their sucky website too:

Q: I want to cancel, what do I do?
A: Just text "STOP" to 654654. We'll cancel your subscription. Right away, we will stop sending you prediction questions, news updates, and other administrative messages. If you cancel after your subscription has renewed but before you have received your cell phone bill, you will see one last monthly charge. But, we will not charge any new amounts on your phone bill after you cancel.

I'm an AT&T customer and was able to request a refund by logging on to my account and doing the following:

    Question:
How do I cancel a Mobile Purchase Subscription?

    Answer:
Mobile Purchase lets you purchase MEdia products such as ringtones, games, and graphics online or on your phone. If you are interested in canceling a product subscription which you purchased through Mobile Purchases, follow these instructions:

      1. Go to Manage Mobile Purchases & Downloads.
      2. Login with your ten (10) digit AT&T wireless phone number.
      3. Please have your phone/device ready to receive a free text message with an eight (8) digit secret code needed to complete your login.
      4. Enter the eight (8) digit secret code and select Submit to complete login.
      5. Select the subscription you wish to cancel.
      6. Select Cancel Subscription.
      7. Complete the fields provided, including a description of why you are requesting a cancellation. Click on Submit Request.
      8. Select Review My Account.

You may also contact AT&T Customer Service at 1-800-331-0500.

They got us too -- the messages started after entering a drawing at a local festival where one had to enter their phone number.  We were slow on the draw to recognize the charge on our Verizon Wireless bill.

It's criminal that companies such as Predicto use deceptive and confusing  (and often just plain fraudulent) opt-in practices to snare unsuspecting/unintened victims/customers.  It's also criminal that the carriers have such an incestuous relationship with such business (much like the 900-number industry) that they sell out their own customers, deny due process, and reverse the burden of proof in order to keep the revenue flowing from such fraudulent businesses.

I called my carrier GCI in Alaska to have this stoped and was told they could not stop it. If other carriers can put a stop on that number why can't GCI. They must be getting a cut.

I, too, have been receiving these text messages and am so glad I found the phone number of 800-360-0518.  I called and talked to a representative who insisted that I went through two acceptance processes to sign up for this account.  I explained that with the first message I received, I immediately texted back "STOP" and to date they had refused to comply with my request.  I explained to the rep, that I still had my text msgs, and would be glad to produce them for an attorney if they did not cancel this so-called "subscription", and that I expected the charge of $9.99 be refunded.  I was transferred to a supervisor who was very receptive to refunding the $9.99 and that there would be no need to contact and attorney.  She "assured" me that this would be done within 7-10 business days.   I "assured" her that an attorney would be contacted if I did not have this refund within 2 weeks.    Again, she requested that I not contact an attorney.    I hope this information helps anyone who reads this and has had or is having the same problem.

I did an IQ test online where they requested my cell phone number. (Silly me, I gave it to them...but never again.) Their text said to go to Predicto.com. I did but before I did, I went to Google and looked them up and saw this website. I immediately called my cell phone provider and they said they charged me $9.99. I then explained in detail what happened. She checked into the company and verified that others had reported this disturbing scam. I then requested that they remove the charge and block that number.
I am now going to contact the California Attorney General's office and report this company.

You can go to http://www.networksoluations.com/whois-search/perdicto.com to get details about this company to report this company.
