I pay my daughter`s telephone bill while she is at University .She was a little over her monthly allowance on account of a few charges this month from 66333 and a couple of other text numbers all listed as from Multimedia services. I suspect they got her mobile number as she entered a competition for a money voucher in the University a month ago.
Orange have given me the text STOP ALL instructions for these numbers and the 08445 445438 to ring if they do not unsubscribe within 24 hours.
I am grateful for others who posted advice as we might never noticed these numbers if she had stayed within her monthly plan.

I had £4 taken from my credit - i rang the landline number 08445445438 and a man answered. He didn't even say that he was from a company. When i complained that i had been receiving the texts and was charged he didn't even ask what texts they were. He just said asked for my number and then said that he would get onto 'them' whoever they were.
I put the phone down as this seemed very suspicious. It wasn't like a company had answered, just someone sitting at home waiting for the call.
I researched the competition name - PeachyWin and it came up with who the domain owner is:
It may not be correct but this is what came up.
    Results are from enom.com

    Domain Name: PEACHYWIN.NET
    Date Created: Tue 22-September-2009

Also in the texts it stated that STW Ltd is the promoter. I am taking that it is NOT Severn Trent Water - and might be this marketing company:

Reply saying STOP ALL - and I received a 'you have been unsubscribed' text.
Previously I texted 'UNSUBSCRIBE' and that didn't work. STOP ALL seems to have sorted it

The number 66333 is using bad tactics.  I did not request anything from them but they are texting me and not doubt charging me for it too.  I have texted back stop, hopefully this will resolve it.  There are lots of complaints about this service.

The company promoting this 'service' is Sure to Win ltd http://www.suretowin.com/Contact-Us/Sure-To-Win.html, they have terms and conditions and privacy policy stated, but they are responsible for the premium texts. Sponge UK are just the 'technical platform'.

If seeking to stop. Just text STOP. It is an automated service and anything additional will mean that it will not be picked up, if it is picked up anyway!

I can't find a telephone number. Sure to Win Ltd were bound over by the Office of Fair Trading in 2006 for misleading practice with premium phone numbers, they have form.

Company personal cited in the OFT press release http://www.oft.gov.uk/news-and-updates/press/2006/105-06 Sure to Win Limited, its officers Charles Bloom and Richard Scott and controller Malcolm Hellewell in relation to contraventions of the Control of Misleading Advertisements Regulations 1988

I received a message from this people claiming to be Mobile Candy. At the same time I also received a message from 87770... claiming to be a lottery syndicate.

After doing some research I found a nice website for the 87770 number (87770.com) explaining what the number is and how to opt out. Was very convenient... atleast I thought.

So I txt this number STOP like they said on the website, only to receive a message from another shortcode number (85200) saying that they did not have any active subscriptions and included more advertising.

Apparently it is illegal for these companies to txt you from the same number if you reply with stop.. so they use other numbers.

    SOLUTION:

I called vodafone and asked them to block those messages... they said they couldn't but once I argued that I was a business customer and as my provider they should be able to stop me getting these messages they magically found a solution where they can block all premium messages like these. Naturally i enabled it right away.

I'm not too sure if it is just for business customers but as a personal use customer you could argue the point that if the service is available for business why not personal.
