Called, but when I answered, no one said anything

This just happened to me. I said hello and they said "I'm sorry" and then waited a few seconds before hanging up.

Answered, person says I'm sorry, and hangs up

Saw they called, no idea who it is, no vmail left

How do they scam, if you call back? They don’t answer the phone, and it says the number can’t be completed. So, the only way they would be able to game you is if you said something, because they obviously already have your phone number, if they called you to begin with. So, I don’t understand how they scam you, if you call them back. Do you know what/how the scam works, bc I’m confused how the could get any info.

They called and cried, "I'm sorry," very creepy. I hung up. This is too weird for me.

Also got two calls from this number. Glad I didn’t answer, sounds creepy...

Received call, I said ‘hello’ they said ‘I’m sorry’ breathed a little then hung up. Sounded like an older woman

So, do we think this is just someone calling numbers to see which ones are valid so they can sell the numbers to spammers?

I just got a call from this number at 11:09am - same thing, I said hello and a man said "I'm sorry". I asked who is calling, got no answer and hung up. Very strange!

got the same call and "i' sorry" and hung up. maybe it was the discust in my voice.

I just received a call from this number and no message was let on my voice mail.  I did a search on this number and found numerous responses.
