Called claiming that I owned them money.

Ms. Elkins called my sister's house and said she was an attorney... She stated to my sister that she needed to speak to me they had pending charges against... for identity theft and bogus check.... I am already a convicted felon on probation... so of course it scared the hell out of me... She wanted me to send them 800.00 dollars of course I didn't have 800.00... I told her all I could come up with right now was 300.00 she had me money gram them the three hundred... it is illegal for them to call and say what they said... and they can't put us in jail or file charges against us... I can't believe I freaking fell for this.... but being on probation and them talking bout identity theft scared the [***] out of me... please don't send these people any money... if you really owe a debt call the people you owe a debt too... send them the money...

I got a call asking to speak to **** by first name only. It's an unusual name & I didn't think to ask for a last name. A Lawrence Taylor at ext 2340 said it was in regard to a personal reference. I took his info and passed it along--but then sent these warnings. Next time I'll deny that the last names match (if they do) or say I thought he said a different name. Sounds like they can read your phone address book--like the emails I get from lookalike names in my contact list?

Got a call from these folks at Nelson Hurst & Associates saying they were following up on a fraud case and wanted me to agree to some type of payment arrangements for a payday loan back in 2005.  I have received no other information.  Is this a scam?

They called me today on my cell and at work, woe.
With a payday loan from 2005, WTF!
I was asking specifice questions like, what was my address then, and there reply was - isnt ur last four bla bla,
I said nope,
and they said well if  you give me your address so i can confirm..i said i would like you to confirm all my info and location, age, date of birth, where was I in 2005, where am I now? What kinda of car am I driving, and she (Ashley) just replied I am going to push fwd on this to your employer, can i have your place of work?
I said you have it, remember you called me at work, hmmmmm?
See all this information can be bought online simple numbers are the easiest! I told her. And I kept saying, hey where are you calling from i need your info, I said all the same [***] back to her,,and she hung up...

My in laws recevied a call from this number stating they were looking for me. I called number and it rings to a mailbox that says mailbox is full. I left message several times with them and no one will call me back. They have called from different number with different area codes. Checked this out and this company is a scam.

I don't answer calls I don't recognize, especially since I've been getting a LOT of calls from fraudulent companies saying I owe places money for loans. Not possible since I don't own a credit card and have /never/ taken out a loan before.

After I ignored the call they sent me a text immediately saying PLEASE CALL. The number was from GA and I know people there so I replied asking who it was and got no reply, looked the number up instead.

They're getting craftier, those tricksy hobbitses.

these people have called and i have requested the information of who made the complaint. THey stated Quick pay day. An internet loan i took out over 5 years ago. They want 800.00, but will not send me the quick pay day loan phone number and information to verify what and that i owe them. They will not send me the information in writing either, Only email. I have called again and stated they will need to send it to me and they said that things are now done these days over internet and email, Not through mailings. Hmmmm...Interesting. They said that if i dont pay in 10 days, i will go to jail.

I got a call from a Mr. King at Nelson & Hirsch Associates ph# 678-593-2372 ext 2242 stating what everyone else has said that "they have pending legal matter with possible fraud allegations" and proceeded to give me a file #. I am assuming this was for some old payday loan which I have paid all of them off years ago. There is something fishy about this place!

This company is a scam, I reported them to the law in GA!! Tammy the woman that placed that call to you is Loretta Elgren, please Google her name, and you too will find out that you are not the only criminal!! She is very good at what she does, and if you do not want to pay....well she bluffs your call, by that I mean she calls from the Sheriff Dept (of the county in which the debt was placed) and when it comes up on your phone it looks as if the Sheriff's Dept. is calling you!! She is a crook and the company she works for knows of her acts!! Ms. Loretta Elgren is a home collector, residing in Jonesboro, GA stealing & scheming!! The people in the office do not use their government given names, so upon them calling you do not answer!! I have reported this activity to the FBI, Clayton County Police, the Clayton County Sheriff's Dept, and law officials in Fairburn (Union City, GA)!! Do not be fooled, do not send money, do not give these people any information over the phone, 97% of them are criminals themselves and have not went through formal background checks! They do not work for lawyers this is a scheme, I repeat this is a scheme!! Do not be fooled, Google the company, they may also change their name to Southeastern Law Group, do not be fooled!!! Please everyone get a lawyer and take them to court, nothing they are doing is FTC approved!!

Tammy did the collector call you from this number 678-292-3523?? Her name is Loretta Elgren (Google her), you too will find out that you are not the only crook in this thang!! She is a fraud, a joke, she has been collecting for a long time...and the things, threats she telling you are bogus, these are not the rules and regulations of the Federal Trade Commission!! She is loud and likes to talk over you in order to make a point, very unprofessional!! Did she tell you the charges against you constitutes for a felony, that's her line! Next time anyone from Nelson, Hirsch and Assoc. you tell them you have retained a lawyer, also that you are recording them! Do not send any more money, do not give out any information, document any calls, messages left..make sure you do this!! Also Google the Fulton County DA's Office and report her activity she is a criminal all by herself; she is not the law or above the law...although she thinks she is!! Google (Bluffmycall.com) that's how she is getting people to pay--illegal, illegal, illegal!! It will show up on your caller ID as the Sheriff Dept. of the County the debt was collected; then a man will advise you of the filing; and they may be picking you up!! Come on what Sheriff Depts. let you know that they are on their way to pick you up?? None, they wouldn't have criminals if they warned you that they are on their way to get you!!! Again illegal!!! Do not fall victim to this scam, the lies, the threats, this bogus mess of a company!! The people she works for have full knowledge of her activities, believe it!! If you can back up that you are not a SCAM why not put you name in the thread. you guys might not be a SCAM but you have bad pratice in collecting your bills and i am sure after your get sue a couple or times for bad pratice you will learn to talk to people better.

Got a call today from a Sandra Thomas and but wont tell me the information on who is filing a claims against me.
