This is obviously a boiler room operation that has gotten a hold of a call list from somewhere and is dialing-for-dollars.  In short, IT'S A SCAM!!

You should go to the FEDERAL DO NOT CALL website (www.donotcall.gov)and lodge a complaint.  Once there are enough complaints, then the government will take action, so please, for all of us, lodge a complaint on the website.

They called & hung up, just like everyone else. After about 50 times in 2 weeks, I googled their #. I got Midcontinent communications 1800-888-1300. I called them and after raising some hell with the operator, I wasn't getting anywhere, I asked to speak to the supervisor and was hung up on. Now I'm even madder. I called back and of course I get someone else. Immediately I ask for the supervisor who "says" he will take care of the matter. I had to give him my phone #, what the h*ll they were already calling me. I told him that I will give him a week (he says it shouldn't even take that long) for his comany to stop calling, then I was calling him back @ ext 3124. Hopefully I raised enough h*ll to get them to stop.
Hopefully this will help someone else with the same problem.

OMG. These bleeping jerks call five times a day. Usually no one answers. ONE TIME they asked for my ex-husband. I just got off the phone with them (Thank you Jack for providing their toll free number) and told her to remove my number. I also reported them on the do not call registry list. Don't know if that will matter, but tried anyway....

I filed a Complaint against MidContinent Communications on www.donotcall.org .  It seems they are randomly calling becuase I am no where near their territory.

i have been getting these callse to at least 2 3 times aday. i called the 800 number that someone liste in here and the 701-772-6411 is no way affilaiated with the 800# which is mid cintinential. mid continental is a digital service. they told me to call my phone service provider and ask if they have selective call service where you can block that number since there is no way to report it. so whoever posted that 800 number needs to get there facts straight. and if u guys would think about it if ur getting the same calls as i am where it comes up 701-772-6411 then how did that person that listed the 800 number get that. if everyone here is getting the same calls as soon as u answer they hang up and when you call back it's dissconnected.i know we all want to get to the bottom of this but calling the 800 number that was listed in here and harassing them ain't gonna solve nothing. before you call that number sit there and think about it where did they get that number if all of us is getting the same call no answer and out of service. and when it comes up under the number it says Grand Forks,ND.

ok i found out the phone carrier of the nmber i called it and they said that there wasn't much they could do cause i didn't have service with them they told me to call my local carrier and they would be able to tell me who's callin. but i had no luck there either they said they didn't know they told me to make a police report and say that they are harassing me and they would be able to look into and find out who's calling and why they are calling. but the phone company of that number did tell me that the number that's calling us can only make phone calls they can't receive them.

What's up with that!?

someone keeps calling form this number.  i haven't been ansewering the call becaus it is form a number that i don't know.  so finally i got enough of them calling i answer the call.  when i answer the call they tell me that this is not a sales pitch that i purchased a vacation for disney orlando a few years back and have never used it.  they could'nt give me my money but wanted to know if i wanted to use it on another vacation in the next 12 months.  i questioned her about ever buying the vacation and she got very defiant with me and hung up in my face.  i called the number back and the number was longer in service.

calls and hangs up.  when i call back, a recording says "not a working number"

Same here. Calling, hanging up, disconnected when I call back. Anyone know why scammers hang up after trying so hard to get in touch with you? Wouldn't they want to pitch me their b.s.?!

Same crap all the time!
They use a voice activated hang-up system.
They call at indiscriminate hours.

I found this site by entering the phone #7017726411. what a surprise! I have received these calls with the same results but the caller did take time to ask if the GMC truck I had was still for sale. I recently ran this ad in The Montgomery Advertiser in Montgomery Alabama so I know they got our number from this ad. My son is a private investigator and has access to check cell # and find who the bill goes to and I am passing this on to him....

This # has been calling me for the past 2 days. I always miss the call lol...
and just for kick I googled it and came up with this as the 1st hit

I called Mid-Con Communications, and they poor girl who answered recited the number back to me as soon as I said, "Are you affiliated with the phone number 701..."

She said they have been getting a TON of calls lately, and they are not affilitated with the number.  She is gathering some information, from me and the other 20 or so calls they've had just in the past few days.  I don't know if it will help, but she was very nice.  Said she had people call from Seattle, Colorado, all over really.

Also, worth noting:  I have had this phone number for 3 weeks.  No one else has it, because I am waiting for my old phone number to be ported.  If you have phone through Cable, they might just have sold your phone number.

keeps calling over and over again - was just letting it ring - gets annoying - if i answer it hangs up - i dd *67 then their number so my number wouldn't show and it said the phone is disconnected.

Try Selective Rejection.

You can block phone numbers.

I just did it so I'll let you know if it works.

Ok so the Selective Rejection worked for one day. Now they call with an Unknown Number (blocked name no number).

So if that happens to you, you can reject Unknown Calls that do not have a phone number.

Same here..they call, when you answer, they hang up.  I called them back and it's a disconnected number.
