i recieved a call from this number at noon telling me i won a cruise but it sounded fake

Ok, this is a good one. I have no idea who would be calling me from a pay phone much less out of Nevada unless it has some thing to do with calling cards out of county. of course When I call I get recording.

Called my cell phone at 9:20 am ET.  Since I didn't recognize the area code, I let it roll to voice mail.  A recorded message was left from a very perky woman who gave me her name and company (both seemed to be intentionally garbled so I could not understand either).  The message told me that my entry was chosen and I won a cruise and air fare vouchers to closest port cities of Miami, Port Canaveral "or EVEN Baltimore, MD". She said it was not a Time Share and there was obligation to buy anything.  I guess that means that they were going to try to sell me something, but if I could resist the high pressure sales pitch, they would not send me a bill for the cruise.

Received a call from this #, but have no clue who it is.....tell them to go away and bother someone else.

I got a call from this number 702-444-4939 and a msg with a woman voice named Ann Marie from America West stating I had won 2 complementary round trips to a 3 nights 4 days caribean cruse and to redeem prize I was to call 888-408-1960 because I or my family member had filled out a entry form. NOT!!!!!

I just received this same phone call at 9:28 am on my cell and my trip was to Baja out of Long Beach - lol. Never fill out any forms!

Awards department from Amreican West...claims I won a free cruise....all expence trip from an airport near me...

Just got a call from this number today July 21, 2011on my cellphone

this interesting thing is my cellphone is a unlisted pay as you go phone which i use to call close family maybe just a few times a month. Circle of fiends is less than 9. How ever there is this Hooker trying to get added to my Face page in the last few days. One of those request (out of the blue) with no friend of a friend link. Her friends list appears to be made up of her Johns list. Therefore i conclude the number is being used by sex sites.

Got several calls now from this number...recording telling me that it's about some loan modification that we never applied for. Creepy.

My husband has gotten this call twice about winning some cruise.  It sounds fake.

Hooray, apparently somone in my family entered some drawing LAST YEAR and now I'm the winner of a couple of flights and even a cruise.  Lucky me.

Received call from this number, message was in regards to a loan modification, claims I asked them to call me back when the rates dropped.  Obviously this number is used as a front for other numbers.

I just got the same phone call at 11:48 am EST.  I am not married so this made no sense.  I listened to it for awhile then hung up.  I feel bad for people that fall for this stuff

This one actually left a message with same deal. And I think you are right, just a front for who ever will pay them to bother people. If they have done it from this number for years (according to these posts) then what cant they be put out of business??!?!?!?

I just got a call at 4:15 pm they left a voicemail on my cell phone ..seems I won a 4 night 5 day cruise to mexico....what a scam

Received a call/message from "Lauren" at 11:00 am saying she was returning our call requesting info on loan refinancing for our house. She said we needed to call her back at 888-624-8762 to discuss our "problem" loan on our home. We never called this unknown and unspecified company asking about a loan, we have no mortgage on our house, and we have no intention of calling back this sham company.

It seems I won a cruise.  They drew my "card" (the one I never filled out) and woohoo I won. What a bunch of it!  Called my cellphone and at least did leave a voicemail.

I'm reading a few above saying it was about loan refinance.

I wish these jerks would at least decide what scam they are trying to pull.

I use vonage which not only sends me voice mail messages via E-mail it transcribes it into text.  Here is the text of the cal I received:

The thing is I don't have a loan with anyone.

And no I never spoke to their office.  They lied.

And Yes, the number they called is on the Federal DO NOT CALL List.
