They have been calling me too.  I have a prepaid phone from verizon.  They call me a co0uple times a day and leave a voice mail message telling me to hold on the line and thanks for my patients which basically uses up the minutes I have.  I have spent so much money on this damn prepaid phone all ready I can't believe they are doing this.  I could have bought stock in their company with all the phone time I have purchased with this rip off phone carrier.  I'm thinking they need a class action stuck in their face.

Got this weird message w/some guy w/a Noo Yawk accent saying "Oh, yeah! Yeah!" and then hanging up - WTF????

I did not answer the phone, but called back and this girl said she was looking for Rhonda Burns.  There is no one here at this number, nor has there ever been.  I told them not to harrass me again.  I do not owe anyone anything.

Received a call frm this number at 8:45 in the evening. Didn't pick up and no message was left. Called them back twice. Once with my number blocked and once wuthout. Both times phone didn't ring and just went to static sound of what seemed like a womans voice repeating my number. This is definatly somebody up tp no good. I will be carefully watchung my phone bill and records after this. I never have had an account with Verizon, either.

They called my sister-in-law today 2-5-09 at about 8pm az time saying she owed a bill for electricity.First off the address they had was my old one!Havent been there in over a year,a they had the last 4 digits of my dads social!(he's been dead for 2 years)They said this bill became due within the last three months,yet I called the utility co. & there is no such bill for this family!!!703-291-9039 & all numbers associated with it are SCAMS...keep a record of every time they call,include the content,& report them to the proper authorities.(i.e. F.B.I.,FCC,BBB)I did  a reverse number check on them and found them to be in triangle,virginia

Phone rang and when I answered I got the dial tone. No one was there.

On the machine, when they do leave a message, this is what I get "hi, I have some important information for you, call me at work at ..........". usually it is another 800 number they leave. From what I have read here, everyone says it is a collection call for Verizon, myself or my husband have NEVER had or used Verizon, ever, so I am guessing they are getting the wrong number, how I have no idea since this number has been with this house for well over 25 years!

OMG!! They call me all the time. My husband will answer and they won't say a word to him... CRAZY!! But AAHHHH... I hope they stop calling me SOON!!

If this is truly a collection agency for Verizon that is really the topper. In the 3+ years I have had my current number, I have received dozens of calls for some deadbeat named Amit Kumar. I believe Verizon put this number back into service too soon. Collection agencies seem to think calling an old phone number will connect them with the deadbeat. This is plain laziness and if I was their client, I would not be pleased with their poor effort. A simple Google search will show the number is no longer owned by Amit Kumar. Now if Verizon is the company searching for this guy, it takes the stupidity to a whole new level.Completely incomprehensible!!!!!

These clowns have called 3 Saturdays out of 4 in February. Collection is for ATT account from late 90s for my wife. Don't owe it and have tried to explain, but they do not listen. Finally called back today and asked for a manager. Got somebody named Rondale who did a song and dance about automated calls. He assured me the calls would stop; however, I don't believe that will be the case. DO NOT give these people personal information. I truly believe that are fishing for money, credit/debit card numbers, or some type of agreement to pay a reduced fee. They are rude, aggressive and abusive. Look for some type of legal recourse to stop the calls.

These creeps call all times of the day and evenings.  They will ask for someone with a same initial as mine.  They are looking to collect from him on a student loan of some kind. I tell them the person is not at this phone number but they keep calling anyhow.  They call on the 703 and the 866 exchanges.  I am going to cancel my land line, as I get other dumb calls from telemarketers even though I am on the Do Not Call List...there is always a way for them to work their way around the law and also get away with it...something needs to be done.

These people have been calling my fax line for months.  Last night, I charged a phone and connected the line.  This morning, they called.  It was a computer asking for a Russ Akin.  No idea as this has been my fax line for 2 years now.

It pisses me off because sometimes my fax machine won't clear and the line will stay open for hours.  If I'm out all day with clients and another client tries to fax, they unable to get through.

So, I hit button 4 to reply that the person is not at this location.  Hopefully it stops.  I have 4 or 5 other numbers that do this to, Oxford Mgmt, Jefferson Capital, etc.  Pain in the ass people!

This number comes up on my caller id at all hours of the day and night.  There is no reason for a debt collector to call our home, so I have not answered.  The numerous calls are becoming a nuisance.  I decided to look this up and found this website.  I'm glad to know I'm not alone, and would like to know how to stop this.

wow, you can google anything - I would have never thought such a site existed, but glad I found it - Thanks to everyone here who have responded about this low down dirty company.  I too, a victim - debt was not incurred by me - Never even had a verizon account anywhere - regardless I believe they randomly pick out people to harrass, possibily those with a low credit score perhaps - I asked to be removed from their list - and so far it's working, however, why just out of the blue did I get chosen?  Beware all - don't give out any information, and deny you are who they are asking for.  Make up a story about how you just got this phone number from your phone company.  Whatever you do, DO NOT discuss this implied debt or otherwise with them, or they can reage the debt if it's yours, or probably if it's not yours.  Collection agencies are evil.  Don't fall for their tactics!

These guys have been calling my cell phone for days and hanging up as soon as I answer. I called them back and told them that I don't HAVE any bills, I'm only 16 years old. If they keep calling me I'm going to have to do something about it.

This people are calling me as well they are trying to so call collect on an old att bill that's been paid off. (SCAM)..If you're not aware you can actually go to a website. ZABASEARCH.COM and look up personal info on almost any body, phone numb, addresses, relatibe, exc. I foolishly released some info to them trying to prove that I was no delinquent. Two days later someone from New Jersey made a copy of my credit card and ran it up....Do not.. do not release any info to them. They are not bill collectors

This is a scam.  They want you to pay for something that you did not buy.

Every time I answer noone says anything so I hang up but it still calls back. I get like 2 calls a day from that number 17032919039 it's so annoying!
