Got the call at 1:40 am. Hard to understand instructions, so hung up and tried calling back, no answer. This morning I found all these posts.

How do you know/find out from where they are calling?

This number called me and said it was an Inmate from Snohomish County trying to call me. I'm not sure who it would be.

Got a call from them last night around 9 said someone from San Mateo County Jail is calling me.. I don't know anyone in that county let alone jail. Besides I'm in California and the caller ID said Texas :/

Definately an inmate collect calling service

Just got a call from that exact number....when he talked to me he gave me another number to call and hell no...as I googled the number he gave me, it had said that the number was based in Texas and hehad said that he was in San Diego....be very careful with this scam.....you can't call them back...so when they call tell them to [***] off and tell them try again, [***] off and hang up....they eventually will try to call u again from a collect call.. But don't answer.....I hope they catch these [***]

I was called at 1:08 am on tuesday and then today 8/15/12 at 8:25 am... I had voice mails each time saying this is a call from orange county jail if you would like to answer press 1, if you wish not then hang up. I wish this would just stop because I only dont know anyone in jail, i even dont know anyone in TX!!!!!!

I got at least 8 calls from this number in just a few hours - they left a voice mail message - all the same - I assumed it was a scam and deleted all the messages.  When I heard them saying someone from a local prison in RI was calling & they wanted a credit card number, that was enough!!!!  But I'm really sick of their constant calls.  It is harrassment!!!!!

This was a collect call from someone I knew who was just arrested and is in the Snohomish County jail in Everett WA. Didn't accept 'cause I know from past experience that the cost's prohibitive.

I keep getting the same call from 713-981-0098 and got the option to "Press 0 for this prepaid call or hang up to refuse".At first I thought it might a relative using a calling card. Thanks for your information about an inmate scamming people.

I received a call on Nov.26 2012 @ 11:34 p.m.  A recording that said I was accepting a collect call from an inmate at a prison.

Wonder who is calling me from this number need to know

I had a voicemail on my cell phone with a recorded message saying "Call from an inmate at the North County Correctional Facility - to hear your payment options press zero - to refuse this call hang up or press one."

This is the first call I've had from them and I don't know how they got my number.  I have no association with anyone in prison or jail, as far as I know.

This call from 7139810098 called my phone and it was a recording asking me to accept a collect call no name or company was given I hung up.

I received a call from 713 981 0098. It said it was St Louis city dept of corrections. I don't know who is calling & can't accept a collect call. What to do to see who it is
