they called several times over the last couple of days. we were finally home when they called and answered. "beta" or "data" research company. wants to do a survey. extremely difficult to understand, woman had a very thick accent AND sounded like she was chewing food AND it was not a good connection. would not take no for an answer...i finally wished her a good day and hung up. it's Sunday....for Pete's sake!

they called when we weren't in the house so i called back to see who might have accidentaly called us, but i got the answering machine and i've been trying for a while to get them to pick up just to scream at them for one: not picking up, and two: possibly trying to hide something from me. if you know why they aren't picking up or who they are please tell me.

who the hell is this?  they've been calling, calling and calling and hanging up.  stop it!

I got a call from Mike Roberts (spoke with a heavy spanish accent) stating he was conducting a customer satisfaction survey for Florida Power & Light (FPL); from Orange County, CA; makes no sense.

Calls me a couple times a week- very frustrating....

I just pickup the phone and before they say anything. I say GO [***] YOURSELF!! Real loud !! And I rarely get called back.

I was taking a nap, so let it go to recorder. No message was left. Telemarketer?

They have a link on their web page to be added to their do not call list. I took a chance ad added my number, but a fake name and email address. We'll see.

They called twice this week. Received one of the calls at 10:40pm!! Why do they keep calling? Our number is on the do not contact list...

Thanks for all of the posts regarding this number.  I just received my first call, but didn't answer.  I immediately searched here, then signed up for their Do Not Call list (thanks for the link!).  I gave them a junk-mail address that I use for this kind of stuff, and received an Out Of Office reply from cathy.mathers@datascension.com

I'm thinking that Cathy is about to get signed up for some spam...  :)

I got sick of the calling, so when they called I said  "Oh, your early, let me get my vibrator, I am ready for fone sex!!!!!!!!!they never called again

Called the number back.  A recording said they are a market research group.  If you want to be removed from their list they say to go to datascension.com

TAKE ME OFF YOUR CALL LIST! This site on tapeing into peoples cells, texts and whatever else, is the lowest any person can go. At this point, just hit the streets for crack and drop dead. This should not be legal and anyone who purchases it should be held accountable and must tell the people they are doing it to,it's just like spreading aids.

I receive calls from this number as well and have just sent email from a new email account set up for just this purpose to see if it works.

BUT IF YOU REALLY WANT TO STOP THIS TYPE OF ANNOYANCE - CONTACT THE FCC at www.fcc.gov.  It will not help to report a DNC violation because the DNC list does not apply to surveys, political or charitable calls, nor are these organizations limited by the other provisions of 47 CFR 64.1200 such as the hours of calling permitted.  INSTEAD ASK THE FCC (OR YOUR SENATOR AND REPRESENTATIVE) to promulgate regulations that would include survey and charity calls under DNC regulations, not just telemarketers, and for political calls, to restrict the hours during which calls can be made and require the same disclosure and maintenance of organizational do-not-call lists that is required of telemarketers.  Total restrictions on political calls may be unconstitutional and may be difficult to pass.

Also ask to require all callers and interexchange carriers (long distance phone companies) to show accurate Caller ID under penalty of substantial civil forfeiture ($11,000 per violation as is the current amount), so that the only way they can have privacy is to block the ID altogether (which you can then block from receiving).  In addition, ask that the FCC require carriers (local and long distance phone companies) to trace calls reported as being in violation of DNC rules (using a special * option code) and submit them to the FCC for enforcement.

UNTIL THAT HAPPENS, this annoyance will continue to grow.

Datascenscion, if they in fact tell you how to list on their DNC and do it, are actually relative good guys considering what the law allows them to do.

This number keeps calling me over and over again. It has called me every hour and when it goes to voicemail, they leave no message. I have not picked up the phone to answer at any time because I do not recognize the name. How do I get them from stop calling me?!
