This is a legitimate number.  I live in Oxford, England  Microsoft wanted to verify my iidentity when I logged into my account.They asked for the last four digits of the phone number they have in my profile, and a code can be sent by call or text. For a call to the UK, the voice has an appropriate accent. Possibly they will use the language of the country being called.

This number was called from my phone which I never did. I have had all emails hacked and my phone plan changed.

This # registered on my phone at 4 AM, along with the word VERIFY. When I answered, a woman was taking in a language I could not identify. I hung up. She never called back. I have seen posts that say scam, and others say legit. What is it?

Scam. No code given just a scam to buy vacant land.   Came through Microsoft

Could you please tell me why did you call me?

Got 2 texts back to back from 288-401. Both were giving a different "Bread code", whatever that means. Then I received a call from this number immediately after the texts. It gave a totally different code. I don't know what the Bread thing is, so I highly doubt this is legit. If it was valid, it would have some sort of significance to me. Ignore! It is most likely a scam.

Missed call from this number, no idea why as I'm in England. And know nobody in America.

Called at 0530 with a verification code.  I did not request one, and the phone number the call came to is not attached to any Microsoft account.

 Since I live in Copenhagen-Denmark  I would like to know how this person/ company?? got my no.
