- Gabriel.....been having this number (727)712-0382 recently call me during anytime of the day. Called my courier service (verizon), they will block this number for free for 3 months......after 3 months you can resubmit again, with no charge.......up to 5 phone numbers they can block......take care.
- Kirk NanceI received a second call from these people today. Because I didn't recognize it, I just let it go to voicemail. They didn't leave a message either of the two times.
- pokerfaceyea, this number has called me 7 times today, I might have to call verizon too to block this number, thanks, this is just outrageous
- SI keep receiving calls from this number but they hang up as soon as my machine comes on. I just blocked my number and call their number and someone answered the phone saying my name! I hung up because I thought something was seriously wrong with the fact that they could see it was me calling even though I just blocked my number!

- BobI got three calls from 727-712-0382 last week, and now have received calls from 800-955-7070 -- which seems to be a related scam targeting Capital One credit card users.
HERE IS WHAT I POSTED
I'm sure that this is part of some phishing scam.
I have now gotten two calls from 800-955-7070, and they did not leave a message either time.
As far as the "Capital One" connection goes, they already know you have a Capital One card, and are trying to get your personal information from you so that they can exploit you -- possibly steal your identity.
Last week, I got three calls from 727-712-0382. They asked for me by name! Google this number if your still unsure!
In any event, after Googling 727-712-0382, I spoke to a supervisor at Capital One who told me my account had not been compromised, and that I was wise not to have revealed any information to the "survey" caller. I wouldn't even confirm that I was who they wanted to talk to (which drives them insane).
In any event, as a result of my calling Capital One, I know for a FACT that I don't have any issues with my account! There is NO reason they would be calling me, and in such a manner.
Now, I get the calls from 800-955-7070, on the same day as last week, and read the comments here?
This is a scam. We are being targeted. Do not give anyone who calls you your personal information!
What they know about us seems to be our name, phone number and, sometimes, the last four digits of your credit card number. I'm quite convinced they are getting this from legitimate transactions you may have recently had. In my case, I strongly suspect the car dealership I recently had work done at. They always seem to target me for surveys afterwords. My guess is that they farm this out, and that the "reputable" and dishonest survey companies -- and their employees -- all wallow in the same cesspool!
Do not confirm your name! Do not confirm any information they present you with! And, obviously, do not give them your credit card number, Social Security number, date of birth, any family member's name, pin number, and especially the 3-digit security number found on the back of your credit card.
FYI, while "800-955-7070" is the "24-Hour Customer Service" number found ON your Capital One credit card, I am sure the scammers are spoofing this number. Companies do NOT call out on their incoming 800 numbers!
Dialing 800-955-7070 yourself -- NOT hitting redial! -- should, in fact, get you to Capital One. However, be on the safe side and call Capital One at 800-903-3637 -- which is the actual customer number that appears on your credit card statement. BTW, Capital One WILL ask for your full credit card number when you call them, just be sure YOU called them by dialing the number yourself (NOT hitting redial). - hawkgood thing this site is out there for us. Have had calls from this number but I just ignore them, thanks to all of you who take the time to post this valuable information.
- suffererI just now got a call from them and answered "Madison County Sheriff's Department, how may I direct your call" -- they hung up.

- IrvinthebestJust got this call three times already today. Same deal, minus the credit card number. When I told them my name, they told me to wait to confirm of who I am. I hung up. They called back hours later, but I ignored it. Googled it and this site came up haha. I told her if this was a telemarketing call and she said "well, you recently purchased from one of our partners and you won a free 50 dollar gas voucher blah blah blah"
- IrvinthebestI called them back and IMMEDIATELY picked up the phone after one ring and said "Is this (my first name)? ....(my first name) (my last name)?" I replied "no" and then they quickly replied back "Then we have the wrong number, good-bye" and then they hung up.
The call only lasted 15 seconds. Very fishy call. - EileenThese [***] call my cell phone several times a day. Day after day, week after week. Register your number on the National Do Not Call List or they will drive you CRAZY! Then report the [***]!

- DeeWithin an hour of each I get the scam 954-495-9548 and the 727-712-0382 scam. They told me I qualified for a free gift card. I told them they had reached a law office and solicitation wasn't allowed. She continued saying I was the one who initiated the call by signing up to receive a free gift card and therefore it was not a solicitation. I didn't argue because it does no good with these people. I hung up. They called again. When I answered, there was a pause and I pushed the pound key for a long time - I heard this makes them think they answered a fax machine when they come on the line.
- Ryanthey have been calling me several times a day for the last few days and I have been ignoring it the whole time as I don't even know where the hell 727 area code is. I thought if it was important they'd leave a message. I knew it'd be some [***] like this.

- ChristaI got a call from them this morning. I was asleep so I don't know what it was about, but if what everyone so far has said, I think I'm going to let it just ring if they call again
- WashingtonThese [***] called me last night and right away asked for me by name. They read a 4 digit number from my credit card. The card was old but sounded very familiar too me. They said they were going to send me 40.00 in gas cards and some coupons for 1.00. The scammer was trying to be funny on the phone, but I didnt think he was too funny. He said someone needs to verify my information and I told him no and dont send me anything. I reported the company to the FTC and BBB this morning. I also registed my number on the DO NOT CALL LIST.
