3:33am! I get a text about opting out of payday sms revenue alerts & will no longer receive msgs....not happy getting a bogus text at almost 4 am...dont know what this is..I have been getting alot of weird texts like this lately & even when I reply stop, I keep getting them. I got to thinking about it and these all started after I signed up to have my facebook updates texted to my phone..I dont have my number on my profile (which is private anyway). Thats the only internet related thing connected to my phone number...I think its pretty crappy that facebook would sell your info..I can only imagine what other information about people they are selling... im sure all these online/text scams could of gotten my number another way, but i think this is too much of a coincidence.

Just got the text msg saying I won a $200 Target giftcard.  I followed someone else's post on here and txt'd "Stop" and just got a msg saying "you have opted-out of PayDay SMS Revenue Alerts and will no longer receive msgs.  Visit www.smsrevenues.com for more info.

I wonder how the rejects even got my phone number.  The only information I've been releasing with my phone number is applications for scholarships.

Grrr I hate HATE HATE scammers.

I would also report it to your state attorney general.  They will actually get something done about it. The Missouri department is very quick and helpful at dealing with things like this.

Got a text from this number today saying that I won $100 to Target, using my name...when I called the number 877.706.6432 I also got someone from another country saying that they were from The Dollar Savings Club? That website looks legit, but the guy also wanted to charge me 7.50 something to send me the gift cards, oh he also added on $40 to Wal Mart and a free 7 day trial to The Dollar Savings Club....not sure what it all means, but I told him I would call him back. I called from my work number and not 5 minutes later he called me back on that same number. He also was trying to get my zip code and home address, I told him since he apparently got my info from a survey I filled out then he should have received my address with it too. The only websites I've been to are ellentv.com and a chilis survey website...normally I don't do stuff like that at all. It says text STOP2052 2Unsubscribe.....going to try that...

Whatever you do, do not give them your credit card number, no matter what they say

I got a text message from this number but it was saying it was for a $500 gift card to Target!  I reported it to my service provider and they are making sure  there are not charges pending to my phone from this.  

I then received another text from a different number and again called my provider, they proceded to place a block onto my phone so that no more messages can come through that are of this manner.  I hope it works.

they sent me a message telling me to claim a $100 target gift card

wisper nonsense repeated into the phone so he turns the volume up. THEN blast him with the air horn!

Today i got a message about a $50 free target card... It was an arabic woman... I almost fell for that scam!

Got the text out of the blue:

I replied right back with "stop2022".  The reply:

I went to the website and it says nothing about specific charges in their terms and conditions other than they exist.  I checked my Verizon bill and there were no charges but I won't know for sure until my billing period ends.

Definitely a scam.

Had the code send me a text message stating that I have been a loyal customer that I won  $50 WAL-MART  gift card but I always look up numbers and text codes before i call them- Plus I anit a loyal customer of no where- lmao- so i knew it was a scam

They told me it was Home (something or another) I told the lady I couldn't understand what she was saying & asked how did she get my name & number. She kept repeating herself & I did also to which she hung up!

got a text from 729329 that says 'hi Bob thanks for visiting our site call 888-210-9015 to claim your free $50 target gift card!" and then it gives me a gift code and then tells me to text STOP2068 2Unsub.First of all my name isnt Bob and I didnt subscribe for anything. If they think they can put some bobus charges on my phone bill then they are dead wrong ITS A PRE-PAID cell phone. I just wish they would stop texting me.

Well, my name sure isn't CHRISTOP, and I ignored it as an obvious scam anyway, but since I pay for every text received, and only my closest friends and family (about 10 people) know my cell number, this concerned me.

The day before, I had gotten an unsolicited text from 77893 (www.giftsnow101.com) and 3(!) voice calls from 214-269-3641, which turned out to be some other shady organization called "america shops for savings" survey.  Recently I've gotten multiple telemarketing voice messages that do not identify themselves and cost me 25 cents/minute for me to pick up & erase.  All these outfits are sharing our cell numbers among themselves and it'll get worse unless you contact each one & get off their list.

Also go to www.fcc.gov to report telemarketing calls & messages to cell phones -- these are ILLEGAL, and the FCC will investigate.
