got a call from this number to my cellphone.

no answer.....called back and says no longer in service

This # calls us daily--no one answers when we pick up.  If I call back I get a recording that says the number cannot be completed as dialed. This comes up as Vista CA on caller id

I thought spoofing caller id number is semi-illegal.  I called this number back immediatly after getting interupted during a business presentation.  Any reputable company will not be using a disconnected number for business.  If they call back again I will ask to speak to their supervisor or legal department!

I have gotten 2 calls from this number. They claim to be from Time Warner cable and are offering some "discounted" upgrade but they can't quite seem to tell me what plan I'm on and whether I'm a candidate for this "promotion" Seems like a scam so beware.

I have received this call a couple times, but I have only answered it once.  They did ask for me by name (sort of) but since I had looked up this number the last time it showed up on the caller ID all I did was ask what this was regarding.  I was told they were from Time Warner.  I hung up after that.

They said they were Time Warner offering a free digital upgrade for $5 a month with free Showtime for a year. They did know my name.

Now that I think about it more. I accidentally called the hang up number a few days ago. That's how they know your name and call you back. I'm sure they just sold my name and cell phone number to everyone under the sun. Darn it.

We are in southern California and have received many calls from this number, including one tonight (12/2/08) around 9:45 p.m. The caller id always shows "Out of Area" and shows the number. A reverse number lookup shows the call originates in Vista, CA. We have never answered the call, and the caller never leaves a message on our answering machine. When I call back the number, the result is always a message that the number has been disconnected. Clearly, a scam is going on.

Twice last night.  Once tonight.  Los Angeles.

I recieve a call from this number on my cell once a week, (760)536-8137. They call the same time, same day every week. When I answer they hang up??? I have a T-Mobile account

This number calls me repeatedly as well. I never answer. They never leave a voice mail. I tried calling the number from another line and I get a message stating that the number is no longer in service.

I get a call from them occasionally, but they leave no message.

THis is not Verizon... This is a fishing scam number. They call your number either trying to fish information out of you or your voice mail. They called my place of employment, got info from my VM which was hello this is ___ ___ with ___, trying to get our manager to tell them information about me. Claimed they were from Verizon Wireless and I owed them $660. Funny thing is I don't have a Verizon phone in my name, called Verizon and they didn't know what I was talking about either.

I have put a trouble ticket in with VZW about this number but they usually don't do anything unless a bunch of people complain. THIS IS WHAT ALL OF YOU SHOULD DO!!! If you have Verizon Wireless call them and complain about this number!

They just called me saying they were with TIME WARNER!!

Texas. Said they were with Time Warner wanting to speak with someone who the accounts. I told him our business already had our own personal Time Warner Rep. Googled the number and landed here. I wish he would call me back so i could give him a piece of my mind!

Texas. Got a random call from this number. No message.

he asked for me by name... i said "this is him" and he hung up.

I finally answered this (came in as unknown, but they would never leave a message).  Said they were from Charter communications, and wanted me to leave the phone company for their phone service.

(760)536-8137  Calls my phone atleast twice a week.....nobody talks when I answer and I try to call it back and a recording says it is not a working number.  How do you get these [***] to stop calling?  I am in Texas
