J'ai reçu un appel provenant de ce numéro et un homme avec un accent africain a demandé à parler avec Brian.  Je lui ai dit qu'il faisait erreur de numéro et il a répondu que c'est le numéro qu'on lui avait fourni.
Je n'ai pas voulu insister avec l'interlocuteur et j'ai raccroché.

Getting calls from this number. I have changed my cell phone number and some how they still can call me.

I got called 20 times in the last hour by that damn number and got no way of knowing who the [***] it is. -.-

This number made several prank calls to me.

This number called me early Sunday morning to say I was making prank calls and they were investigating me. It was definitely harassment and not true at all.  He also was impersonating a US official which is also illegal.

he got my daughters first and last name, called from 514-898-2936 (Montreal, Quebec Canada), then a few days later 760-705-8888 (which seems to be California).
Says he is Marvin, from Trojan.
Says my daughter called 'cause the condom broke inside and she was concerned.

What ever this number is, it just keeps calling and calling. I dont answer and dont plan to,but sure would like the calls to stop.y8y9

I had a person, who said that he is from Ontario, Canada call me and it showed this number. He said that it was a number that he used for business...he is a realtor. I guess it is a google free number, which makes sense to use for business.

I use Google voice and phoned my own cell # to see if my phone was working. This number came up.
I rarely use my cell so I buy a Pay as you Go phone card. Using my cell costs me 30 cents a minute. Using the FREE Gmail VOIP feature saves me money. Whoever is phoning YOU probably is a friend or family, you just don't know it. The first time I phoned my daughter the Call Display said I was calling from California ( headquarters of Google ).  Of course this will give people Anonymity even with Caller ID, so it will be used for harassing calls also. If  someone phones you and makes a serious threat or obscene call
perhaps Google can provide the Police with an I.P. Address??  Make a note of the date and time of the call for investigation.

There was an article in the Newspaper in 2010 reporting on this. Here is a small excerpt from it regarding the tracking.

" However, if someone finds that they are receiving threatening or abusive phone calls from someone using Gmail or another Internet calling service, Google said users are better off contacting the police, since Google won’t give up the personal information of the person making the calls unless it is ordered to do so by a court order."

I would suggest not contacting the Police just because you are curious as to who is calling you. Only if you are getting abusive or harassing calls.

Kept calling me back and forth from this number...what is going on?

Several delivery places got a phone call from this number tonight. They were trying to order a cab for my house and also called a pizza shop and chinese resturant for a delivery. Please find out where it is coming from

This number called at 1 in the morning and left a message harrassing me.

This is the number that shows up when someone (like your family & friends) is trying to reach you using the gmail FREE voice & video chat.  This is awesome & you all should try it.  Could help you save on phone service bills!!!  Go to gmail.com & check it out.  IT IS FREE!!  I got to see my mom who is in the hospital when my sister called me from her room using her laptop, got to talk to and see mom too!!  This is truly AWESOME!!!

Google should be advising people that if they are calling a cell number that long distance charges will apply.  My daughter received a call from a friend not knowing she was calling from gmail.  We now have over $100 in incomming long distance charges that we would not have to pay if google had any sense.   Oh yes, and the charges are based on a call from California...

So guy called me saying that I would get a loan and it was for me to go to a page. But he was reluncant to give me the number. So I have contacted FBI and the BBB in the San Diego CA area concerning this issue. The calls are coming from a Jason Essex 1041 Market Street, San Diego, CA 92101. Phone # 760-705-8888
