got a call from this number.  Actually spoke with a male voice with a heavy accent who was trying to tell me he was with a government agency in Toronto, Canada called ITC and my computer is broadcasting virus laden information and there is a police file on my IP address.  Anyone else get this kind of crap?

This number is a GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER that for some reason comes up on caller ID as "Maura Collins". If someone is calling you from it, it could be for a multitude of reasons. They either:

a) Don't want it traced to them.
b) can't get ahold of a regular phone, but can use their computer and microphone instead, as well as their Gmail account (you can make phone calls through gmail!)
c) are a scammer (See A)
d) are your friend, and just want to mess with you
e) something else that I didn't cover here. Chances are though, they're harmless.

Be wary, of course. Exercise caution, but it might just be someone you know. Ask them a question that only they would know if it makes you feel better, but it could just be family, or friends calling.


Again, it's a GOOGLE VOICE NUMBER with the ID of "MAURA COLLINS."

I received a call from 1-760-705-8888 on Nov. 3 at 8:41 a.m.
It was the voice of an east Indian.   He used the name on the phone for me, that we are listed as in the phone book.   He gave a ficticious name of Craig ????    I asked him twice what he wanted, he asked me if our computer was working OK.  I said what, who are you.   I am from IT??? computer company and he wanted to know if our computer was working OK.   he tried to get me to say my name which of course I didn't.

This is the same voice as the man who called me on Oct. 22/2011 from the phone number (416) 800-3377.
He too is an east Indian.  He has called "many times" wanting to know if I want my Ducts cleaned and that his company is going to be in the area.  He said he had pernissiion from the GTA Homeservice Co and the Canadian Government Health Dept. to call me with regards to my ducts.  
There is no doubt whatsoever this is the same person.   You can hear the same noise in the background.  It sounds like an office with people in it (telemarketer).   I am not sure if he is calling to check to see if anyone is home or what the purpose is.     Ann

These calls are made from the google.com site.  I just called my husband using it and the number came up as well as the name, Maura Collins.  So, anybody can use it to call you.

this number is helpful why I say that because if you don't have a cell phone or a landline you can use it to call your friend and somebody without charge.. its free calls... even in the other country can call you no charge...its from google acct. if you have one try it

We just received a call from this number. The person kept saying "hello?, hello?" and then went into his song and dance about browsing the internet and my information leaking on to his server. He identified himself as Peter with Benison Computers in Toronto, ON. Weird. I hate telemarketing calls, no matter how they get here.

I have been receivig repeated calls from this number at wee hours of the night. When I answer the call there is no answer. Can someone help me to report this number from not calling me anymore???

This number called me last night twice! I had no idea who it was 760-705-8888 Maura Collins?? They asked for me by my first name. The phone was breaking up so I couldnt really hear them...not sure if it was a man or woman....spanish sounding accent! My boyfriend and I kept trying to call the number back but it doesnt go through!!!! Very ANNOYING and UNECESSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love it when these Indian scammers call my place of work. Every year, without fail, they call to tell us that they are from Corporate (our corporate office is in Arizona) and that they need 2 of our cell phone numbers so they can send us special codes that will allow them to send us t-shirts and hats. I guess they assume that the same people won't be working here a year later and call again. Too bad for them, I'm the manager and have been here for years. But when they call I like to have fun with them .Tell'em our store is part of a cult and none of us is allowed to have cell phones. Or that my name is Krishna. This recent time I just straight up said "Funny, you call and talk to me every year and yet we never have these shirts delivered. Aren't you just going to give up now?" Of course I'm sure they'll call again next year. Oh welll! More fun for me!

i got call from this number start from 12 am until 2:00 am, next morning from 7 am to 9 : 30. keep ringing every sec, non stop, ppl here, being distracting my this number, any method can solve it,

My Granddaughter has been getting calls from this number on her cell phone, they keep asking her to fill out an app. for college.  My granddaughter is 10yrs old!   If I'm around when she gets another call from these people...the "gloves" are coming off!!!  And that's the truth!

I have received this call many times now too and it is late at night. I live alone and it has been a concern of mine, when I pick up the phone and no one is on the other end. Please stop calling me..........thanks!

I believe this number 7607058888 is from individuals gathering information to attempt identity theft.

Got a call at 10:46pm.  No one of course.on the other end. After so many other post i know why

i got a call from this number with them asking me if i wanted to talk dirty and him saying that he was my boyfriend. and there was also breathing at 1am!! CREEPY.
