I just received a call from a gentleman from the same number, It came up Unknown on my caller id but a number so when I answered the phone at work I had MY "A"    GAME ON told the man of course he was calling for me that I was not available well he huffed and hung up. These people are harassing and need to be shut down. It is Illegal to debit someones account and to call them at work and Harass them at work as well.

Received a call from this number while I was at work and didn't recognize it, so I picked it up and listened for them to speak first. I waited for about 10 seconds listening to nothing but silence when all of the sudden a rude female voice said "You can respond Mr. **** (which isn't even my name?) I can hear you breathing in the background.", after which she abruptly hung up. This is nonsense.

These people keep calling my number for my daughter that has not lived here in over 3 years! I have told them that she doesn't live here and to send information to her in WRITING, but they continue to leave messages at my house. I even told them that their calls were an invasion of privacy and that we would need to contact a lawyer if the calls continued! (....It stopped them for a few weeks, but now they're starting AGAIN!)

Got a call from this number today. Told them they had the wrong number then the person says are you sure. Thank got for blocking calls on my cell phone. The best thing for you to do is tell them you have legal rights. I understand that under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act you must stop contacting me if I ask you to do so. There is nothing they call do let them know if they continue with the call you will report them to Fair Debt Collection. They can threatening you all they want but there is nothing that they can do.

had same type of call twice today claiming I had a 10yr old bank card  debt from some bank I never heard of , very rude people however the scary thing is they had some correct info about me--

don't know who this is.  I just don't pick up the phone if it's unknown.  If it's a debt collector, I want it blocked.

YES I have received the same threatening phone calls IE: this is investigator so and so and I had 24 hours to respond or it would go to my county. THEN they asked which county I lived in. I said if you know so much about me, why are you asking. They had called arelative I have not spoken with in 5 years. I told them if this continued I would contact every authority I could and go after them for harrassment

My mother orginally received a call from them stating they were going to take us to court for an unpaid balance. I called the number she gave me (888)234-6316 and nobody picked up, just went straight to voicemail. I called a few days later and they said they had no info. with my name. Later, my mother recieves another call at her job stating they want to speak with me. I call them back and now they have info on me. They wanted me to tell them my social which I refused so I was then advised that if I did not take care of the balance, their law office was going to take me to court and my mother and I would face wage garnishments and a judgement on our credit reports. I asked them for their business license #, an email address or something that showed they were a law firm and I continued to get the run around.

They continue to contact my mother's place of employment so I just recently filed a complaint with the FTC because they have been misrepresenting themselves as law firms, attorneys, and government officials and that is illegal.

Not to mention, they refuse to send any information to validify this debt which I know for a fact is incorrect because I settled with this particular creditor 2 years ago and NRC is trying to recover the remaining balance.

Do not pay them anything or provide them with any information. Trust me, if your going to be sued by a creditor, you will receive something in the mail. Don't fall for their tactics. Don't let them scare you.

It's been a while since they called, but after 6 *****g telemarketer and pain in the butt calls today...i'm going and posting on ALL of them.  These people called here for 6 months looking for gary...two and three times aday.  I actually called the police department on them.  They are looking to collect money from my brother in law...but i'm NOT going to do their work for them.  to the people who said they are shady and just shy of being illegal...i think they surpassed that.  if they call again, i will contact an attorney for harassment.

insulting call looking for someone else who does not own this number or house . a mrs woods called to say she has a file on man who use to live here. She said I should call? I own the phone number and house, no one else

A Miss Jackson called from this number and left a voice mail message, saying we have a claim filed against us. She wanted to hear our side, and left her number. We have very good credit scores, which we recently checked because we're refinancing our mortgage. I think they have the wrong person. After reading all these posts, I don't want to talk to them at all.

Called my cellphone this morning at 9:53am EST looking for a Miguel, told the woman she had the wrong number... she then immediately called my HOUSE number after hanging up looking for Miguel AGAIN. I answered the phone and told her she just called my cell, and now she's calling my house and there is no such person at either number. She got real pissy with me and I hung up on her. There has been no such person at the unlisted home phone number for at least 28 years and no such person at the cell number for 10 years.

I unfortunately keep on getting calls to my parents house of course threatening to report me to county, report me to teh credit bureau, that they need to close the books by the end of the week ( really, why would you close the books the second week of the month)they also have my cell phone because initially I fell for it and called them back in good faith trying to see what it was about. Bad for me, they have calling ID, so they now have my #. I had asked them for a confirmation of what I owed, 'Ms Iris McCoy" told me she couldnt do that unless I paid a portion of it first. I get a different story each time, at first I owed over 5 grand then I could pay 1,900 and be ok... Okayyy which one is it.. I dont answer my cell when I dont know the # anyway...and now I know, its certainly them-- the #s also rotate --

This lady "mrs. smith" called and continued to threaten court and attorneys if I did not pay some very old debt.  The caller ID came up "Workout Anytime" so I answered. Unfortunately if the debt collector, shady as they may be, gets a hold of you, that 7 year time clock starts again on your credit reporting.  Don't answer or give info to these sleazy creeps!!!!

And it's these types of shady collection businesses that have made me start reading any and all things concerning the consumers rights and the laws on what the collection agency can and cannot do.
I have received calls from this number as well however I placed them on Mr. Call Block.

The best thing that I have read on what to do when you have encountered their illegal tactics is to file a consumers complaint and report them to the Attorney Generals office.

I've received 3 or more calls from this number on my cell phone.  I don't answer if I don't know the caller.  They did not leave a message so I've blocked this number.  I doubt if it's a collection agency because I've had my cell/emergency phone a year or two and only use it occasionally, it's also under a fictitious name.   I believe this is a scam to get account numbers & personal info from people.  Don't give out your personal info to anyone you don't know!!!

They call me at work all the time. I don't think they are a legit debt collector since I have never received anything from them in the mail. They said they would email me a statement but I said you can try but to me it's not legit. I told them to send me something in the mail. Once I see the original company who is trying to collect money I will call them directly.
