I have never dealt with rogers...no one sold anything.  I can dial numbers at random all day long, don't need a list .they use an automated dialer, dials response, dials next number in sequence.

Well could send an email to Allstream Corp  the alleged owners of the number.

This number just called me, 430pm BC time, claiming to be AirMiles and I had won 22,000 Airmiles, press 1 to collect. I did not.

I'm with Virgin Mobile and this number is not public. To all of you who think your carrier is selling their number lists you're morons, these services are simply calling all numbers between yourareacode-000-0000 to yourareacode-999-9999 and your number is in there, somewhere, it's called an auto-dialer and these days it's usually just a fancy computer program. Back in the day it was actually a piece of hardware similar to an answering machine, only instead of accepting calls and taking a message, it would place calls and play a message. They were used for mass-telephone marketing briefly before being ruled illegal.

There's your history lesson for the day, now go put your tinfoil hats back on before the government reads your brainwaves, paranoid idiots...

Just received a call from this number on my Virgin Mobile at 4:49 pm Vancouver time.  Did not recognize the number on call display, ignored the call, and no voice/text messages was left.  Might be spam or wrong number.

I am on the D.N.C. list and nobody has my number except family and work.  Plus, I only use this number for emergencies only.

called me twice at 9:19 est. I am in Ottawa and with rogers. I didnt pick up

Got a call 140 pm Ottawa Ontario time, pressed 1, waited. Guy with east Indian accent said I qualified for vacation prize. Asked if I was over 30 and had a credit card. I hung up. Scam.

It's a scam.  They're (right now anyway) randomly calling Rogers cell numbers.  They want your credit card number and will supposedly send you coupons for a "free" resort visit.  They don't abide by any "Do Not Call" list.

take whatever action you feel is appropriate (hint: action should not include giving out your credit card details)

Just got a call a from this number at 13:29 Mountain Daylight savings time.  Did not answer.  I have not used this number for anything in the last 15 months and just put my SIM back in.  This is the first call since then.  Sounds like an auto dialer to me.  I will be adding it to my blocked numbers.

150pm Alberta time, called, rang once, then disconnected. Immediately called back, "because you are a valued..." *CLICK* I hung up. Thanks for calling my work cell phone, which is registered on the apparently USELESS DO NOT CALL LIST.

Got the same call on my cell and I am with bell, didn't pick it up though cuz I relized that it was junk. Also I noticed that I got a similar call on my work phone (land line) different area code and first 3 digets, but the same last 4 digets 8989. And a few months ago same thing, a junk call, but same last 4 numbers 8989. I wonder if its connected.

Got a call from this number today 3:30 pm called the number back and it says it's disconnected.

Just received a call from this number at 3:06pm. We are Telus customers. Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

I'm also in Alberta and received the call at 5:18

scammers., with weird computer voice, saying you have just won 2000 airmiles, press 1 to collect right away.  BEWARE!

I'm a Telus customer (wouldn't recommend). Received this call at 11 am in Vancouver. Thought it was a BC number. Creppy automated voice saying I'm been chosen by Air Miles to receive 2600 points, press 1. Hungup.

I also received a call at 13:12 today (01-AUG-12) from that number. I'm in Alberta, 403 area code.

Got this number at my WORK phone even though I rarely use my work phone.
