Just received a call at 10:14 am BC time. Didn't recognize the number so didn't answer.  Called back and same Telus message not in service.

I got a call just now, and the recorded message said it was from Airmiles, and that I had been selected to get so many free miles, just press 1.

so annoying.
I have had several attempts from this number over the last couple of weeks.

silence at the other end.

This number called me on Aug 6

Wow!  Taped messaged said "You have been selected to receive 2,000 Air Miles points.  Press 1."

I pressed 0 and they hung up on me!  Good Riddance!

FYI, Rogers and fido = same company. Just like Bell and Virgin Mobile, Telus and Koodo. Also with Satellite, Bell and Telus

Called to my cell phone at 1pm. I use a pay what you use cell so it's a waste of my money for some jack hole telemarketer to call.

recd call from number on cell ph, # not assigned was message recd when dialed. Probably a teleamarkter.

I got a call from this number twice. I called back to  hear it was " not assigned". Normally I wouldnt answer numbers I don't recognize but I'm expecting a call from my son, who has been tree planting, so I thought maybe it was a pay phone. How can you block these guys?

Same number but this time an automated message supposedly from "airmiles". I was on the airmiles website about 10 mins before I got the call and there's a banner across the top of the website saying that Air Miles does not call customers to give rewards and has no automated systems to call customers. So it's a scam, trying to collect your information and rob you.

778 is a Vancouver area code - fyi.

My office desk phone just wrang with this number. I didn't answer; answering machine got it and had dead air ont he recording. 30 seconds later, the desk near me had it's phone ring with the same number showing. Automated dialing system, it looks like.

just got the call from this number 2:20pm pacific...pressed one and talked to a guy offering me resort packages in florida...i gave him hell

I live in Vancouver and I also have been receiving calls from this no# ( 778 - 263 - 8989)  I have an unlisted no and I pay for anonymous call blocking so I don't even know how this guy got my no# or is even able to call me in the first place.  I am not a rogers customer but did report it to my phone company.  They said there was nothing they could do about it and if these calls persist to report it to the police...  yeah like they are going to do anything about it.....

Got a call from this number at 1:15 August 09/2012 on my cell phone.  I don't answer unknown callers. They didn't leave a message.

This number will charge a nominal fee to your account - usually 50 cents if you answer. If you press 1, you pay $40.

Your carrier probably wont refund your money. Just don't answer it.

I am not with Rogers and I just got this call.

I just got a call on my cell phone (Rogers) from this number - dead air when I answered.
approx 12:25 p.m. Vancouver time.

i just recieved a call from this number, missed it, no message and when i called it back they said the # is not in service...
