OK, I called this Global Crossing which is where one of the calls is coming from. Global Crossing is company that owns one of the 5 networks that operate the internet. Some of the calls are coming over their network so they were kind enough to do some investigating for me. Here's the jist of it:
- Scam companies (probably based overseas) purchase the internet space from Global Cross and 4 other similar companies.
- They then set up internet calling and can "mask" the caller ID number you see, which is why so many different names/numbers/locations appear.
- Many times the scammers are even the third or fourth buyers so its difficult to track them (Global Crossing tried but could not).
WE ALL NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
- Call the POLICE and file a report of harrassment. Let the know the above information and that the telephone number most likely is not correct as it is probably "masked".
- Call your cell phone/landline provider and give them a copy of the police report.
- Your phone provider will then track all calls. They also report this harrassment to the feds for further investigation.
Telephone harrassment is a crime but nothing will be done about it unless there are many complaints. Make no mistake, there is no Richard Zucker, Dwayne or Lance Keys calling you. These people take the names of innocent people and attach their phone numbers and addresses so that the caller ID looks like it comes from them. I'm calling the Police and my cellular company now. I hope everyone does the same....If not, look forward to getting these calls for the next three years like I have been! - jenniferi got this call too today
- JohnJust got this call like 10 min ago. Thanks for the information.
- DonnyCar Warranty has expired yadayadayada.
I spoke with the gal and she told me she was in Atlanta, Ga and the name of the company was Warranty Services her name was Kelly CSR#237.
This will continue until enough people report these call to the DONOTCALL.GOV.
Go there report the information that you have and let these criminals be handled. We pay taxes for the do not call division of the FCC, we may as well get our money's worth. Check out this link:

https://www.donotcall.gov/ - More Info from LoriAuto Warranty Services AKA Pacific Guard Warranty hires sales people to sell their CRAP car warranty. These sales people do not go through any background check and work from their homes. The motive IS to sell a car warranty, however, they knowingly employ criminals as sales people, some of whom have been imprisoned for identity theft and credit card fraud. Once they pass on your payment information for a HORRENDOUS car warranty, the CRIMINALS that work for AUTO WARRANTY SERVICES then use the information they have to steal your identity, credit info, etc. This small company sometimes works under Warrantech/Consumer direct. The main office located in Concord, California and the owners reside in the state of MO. They do not screen their telemarketers before employment. Those people are taking your checking accounts/creditcards. Currently there are 2 Ex-Cons working in there right now. They call themselves Senior Warranty specialists. They use a hand-made script and engage in aggressive sales. All the calls you receive are from a call center hired by them, a call center which purchases blocks of HUNDREDS of phone numbers. So don’t count on those calls ever ending. When people catch on to one number, they start using another. THIS WILL NOT END UNTIL THE US GOVERNMENT FINDS THESE FRAUDS AND PROSECUTES THEM. We must all report this to the authorities.
Recapping previous posts:
1. File a police report
2. Have your cell/home phone provider track the calls and report them to the federal government
3. Report this CRIME of phone harrassment to the attorney general of your state.
FURTHER…they may even try to email you – this would give them access to your IP address and in some cases, all contents of your computer, such as bank account numbers, SS #, etc. PLEASE BE CAREFUL and report this to the proper authorities! - ArtAdd me to the list. Just called my cell phone in AZ. Didn't answer.
- JustinAlso a cell phone also in AZ here, I did not answer as I am at work.
- Diane LKeep getting these calls about the warranty on my vehicle. Just how in the HELL do they know how many miles I have and how many I drive everyday? How do they even know if I HAVE a warranty on my vehicle???
