Received pink card in mail today.  Same message - "....recently closed on this mortgage with MIDAMERICA MTG INC" - I did not.  The fine print in lower right-hand corner "Not affiliated with MIDAMERICA, MTG INC".   Well of course not - scam to get personal information, hope no one falls for it!  Luckily, the mortgage ID # was completely wrong!!

I received a card in the mail about a recently closed mortgage. I have not recently closed a mortgage. A mortgage ID# was included. I figured the card is either a scam or a phishing expedition. So, I did nothing other than fill out this form.

Same Yellow card I"m going to contact the USPS in Daytona Beach, to see if I can complain about the owners of the postage permit #447 listed in the stamp area of the card. Maybe if we alert the USPS they have a scammer they will pull their postage permit? Otherwise I see no recourse. No other information is on the card.

Seems, this Pink Card, has made it's rounds. Seems the Post Master needs to get involved in this one, for using the Postal System to fraud the people of this Great Country. America can send people, air-ships to the Moon, but don't know how to handle Scammers on Earth.

Thankfully my mortgage company warned me about this. I doubt we can do anything about it. Otherwise I would think if my mortgage company was aware, it would already been done.

Anything that comes in the mail should be forwarded to the postal inspectors.

yellow card with same information, but i have not financed my house in years.  glad to see this information to help decide if its a scam.

Really disappointing that this occurs. The pink card made it appear that is was the mortgage company that sent it. When these scammers asked for a phone number to reach me, I hung up, as my mortgage company doesn't need to ask that question. People in 2017 are really dismal and pathetic -- especially these scammer scums.

Got a yellow card saying to call about a recent closed mortgage and gave a ID number.

Got a pink card. Called and stupidly put in information for age, sex and phone number of my son. He recently closed on a refi that I helped with.  Was having a bad day. It sounded so official. I lost the pink card at a store and immediately realized what I had done. Just hope it went in the trash. Told my son not to buy any life insurance over the phone.

got yellow card twice in 1 month. Same deal ....mortgage closed ....with  no idea whose mortgage id number on it.
Threw it in trash both the times.......I am glad forums like this are teaching people about scams....

Got pink card today and started to call, then remembered what my mortgage broker told me. People would send you all kinds of Crap after you close in an attempt to get your money. Do not respond, just throw it away. I read the fine print, then googled the number.

We got the same thing but on a yellow card.

Unsolicited pink mailer that I "urgently need to call about a matter about my new mortgage on a time sensitive matter". If you call the number they won't tell you who they are. Don't contact them. It's a scam of some kind.
