- Concerned Person| 1 replyI have received phone calls over the last few days from this number informing me that my bank account has unusual activity. He claimed that there was purchases made this morning for netflix google..and several other things that I did not purchase. He was wanting information in order to close my card. When I told him I would talk to my bank in person he said to block these things I had to let him close my card right now over the phone. He said he would close my card and then I would need to go to my bank and fill out paper work to report these fraudulant charges. Neeedless to say I DID not give him any information. I told him thank you and I would go to my BANK in person. He was not happy about that. I called my bank and NONE of what he was saying was true. It was a scam!!! DONT GIVE OUT YOUR INFO TO ANYONE>>> THEY PREY ON YOUR FEARS!!

- Larry LundI let this number go to voice mail but no message was left. I don't pick up much anymore when I don't recognize the #
- Gare32| 4 repliesActually it's probably not a scam at all. More likely if you bank with a smaller bank or a credit union, odds are that they outsource their debit and credit fraud monitoring to a third party (probably Fiserv). You can call your bank and they ahold he able to confirm this as well.
- Unhappy CamperI received a call from this gentleman and he was CORRECT. Over $3,000.00 in fraudulent charges were on my credit card. He suspected they were because they came from Spain. I am in CA. He did not request anything from me except my most recent use. He gave me his name, and a case #. All was legitimate. My bank is in the process of refunding my money, sending me a new card, and hopefully tracking these thieves down.
- Caller: REP from my bank.
- Susan May| 1 replyHi Everyone, This number is from Fiserv. They represent various credit unions and banks protecting your accounts. If a card transaction gives an unusual score (maybe you are out of town) they will call you to confirm your card has not be stolen or used fraudulently. This is not a scam. Some of you may have spoken with agents who were not doing their jobs properly as you always have the right to contact your bank to validate. I work for a bank that uses them and this is legitimate.

- EllieI received a call from them today. Not recognizing the number, I didn't answer, and they left a message. It was from Bank of America about a legitimate concern - a check that was sent to me from a client, through their online bill-pay service, never arrived, and they are calling to confirm this. I tried to call back, but apparently, even though they make outgoing calls on the weekend, I can't call back until Monday. Anyway, there's no way any scammer could possibly know that a check sent to me by this individual never arrived. Only her bank could know this.

- CMThis is the number a guy claiming to be from B of A called about a check I never received. A business uses them to send out checks this way.

- KrystleI received a call from this number today. The guys name was Nick and he said he was calling me regarding some unauthorize charges in my account (from China). What bothered me was that he called me on my work number when i have my cell number listed on my account. so we reviewed the charges together and he cancelled my account to avoid more charges. He only asked for one information (my address) to verify that they are sending the new card to the correct address. Also, he was very cooperative in giving me his information (full name, ID number, his direct number and my case number). as soon as we were done talking i called my bank and they confirmed that it was them. its a company that the banks hired to monitor all the fraudulent activities on their members account. Needless to say, i was very thankful that my bank was on top of their game :)

- Chuckster replies to Gare32| 1 replyIt IS in fact a scam. I can say that with 100% certainty. They caller claimed they worked for my bank when I answered. They said they was very suspicious activity regarding my account and they needed my account number to veriffy. I hung up, called my bank and they told me there was no problems with my account.
- TerryCall the number on the back of your debit card. The call I got from 800-279-2674 was an out sourced security firm and yes, my account had been hacked. Cancel the card and shred it. Again, call the number on the back of your card..... and they only want your name.. do not give out anymore than that to anyone. Whos up for a trip to India to do a little house cleaning ?
