- slownomie| 2 repliesfirst calls on my cell phone then on my personal home phone. Asked twice not to call and to respect do not call list
- David P.| 1 replyThis number's legitimate. I paid for my rugby club's new jerseys using my Visa card (approx $4000) over the phone. A couple of hours later, the vendor called informing me that the card had been declined.
As expected, an hour later I received a call on my cell from this number informing me that there had been suspicious activity on my card. They left a different call-back number and a reference code.
Sure enough, they quoted this transaction as being suspicious. I verified that the charge was legit but to withhold payment as I had subsequently used a different card to pay for the order.

- brianNHThey called here and claimed to be from our local bank. Trouble is , they called from an 800 number, not the local phone number, and the bank closed hours ago. We hung up on them; likely scammer.
- Da Man replies to ChucksterMy card was turned off and received the 1800 279-2674, but I lost the call when they was going to give me a case #. I tried to call the number back, but no cigar. My card will not work now, so do you know who I should call to get it turned back on?
- Down With ScammersJust got a call on my cell phone. The voice mail was a computerized recording that began in mid-sentence: " . . . activity on your debit card". I don't HAVE a debit card. Nor do I do business with Bank of America in any respect. Scam alert.
- ScottCall from Bank of America regarding a check through the mail that I never got. They left a message with call back and case number. So this was legit. They are calling to verify information
- Caller: Bank of America
- MaryI had called my bank's Online Bill Pay department to follow up on a Bill Pay that has not been credited yet. The representative put me on hold a couple of times just to let me know that she was still on hold with the company that received the check. The third time she tried to put me on hold, the line was disconnected. Right away, I called the Customer Service number back and received assistance from another banking representative. Since I was on my home phone, a call was made to my cell phone from the number 800-279-2674. Of course, since I did not recognize the number, I let it go and a voice message was recorded. I completed my conversation with the 2nd bank representative and then checked my cell phone message. The message was made by the first representative who dropped the call by error telling me to call the customer service number back. I did goggle search this number and found much information. I cannot speak for anyone else but me but my experience with this number was legitimate. Trust me, I have received my share of phishing calls and I always take preventative measures.

- knowsYou are CRAZY if you talk to anyone at anytime on the phone who calls you and wants to talk about ANY financial matter. YOU NEED TO CALL YOUR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION using the number on the back of the card to solve any problem. Or look on their website and make sure you dial the number correctly.
And all of the explanations about 3-way calling is just another way to SCAM the stupid people who respond to these calls.
When my financial institution thinks there is abuse, they block my account before they call me. Actually, that is the only way to stop the abuse.- Caller: none

- DarksoulReceived a call from Fiserv with no message. I had just made an online transaction that was denied. I called my bank and they identified Fiserv as the 3rd party company that handles their risk assessment. Bank cleared the issue with the payment.

- Stephen W.Person left message for one phone #, but *69 showed THIS number. When THIS number was called, it said, "This is not a valid number. Please call the number mentioned on your message service". Message service was different number.

- Alanhttp://old.fiserv.com/contact_us2.aspx ... Fiserv's contact information. If that number isn't on here. Don't claim it as a "Legitimate" number. Its a scam, flat out. When you call back, it says the number has been disconnected. Tell me why this would be true if they are a financial debt company or any other company disputing charges. They would want to communicate effectively and by blocking their number or putting a spoof "This number is no longer in service" message on the line doesn't help the credibility.

- GregI received a call from this morning claiming to check on credit Freud, I refused to answer any question hung up and called my bank when they opened. Come to find out they are legit I tried making a purchase online they block, unknowing to me it was routed through Hong Kong so they block all over sea's transactions. The lady at my bank verified they do out source to this company when they are not open. The situation is fine but she did say I did the right thing never give out personal information on the phone always double check with your bank.

- LTGot a phone call on my cell around 8:15 am. I didn't answer it went to voicemail. When I tried to receive the message there was nothing on it. Checked my account on line and saw three charges were pending and I didn't authorize any of them, so called my bank, they said they would send me paperwork to reverse these charges if they go thru after they are now pending. My bank put hold on my acct. and are sending me a new card. Makes me made they get away with this action, no one is safe.
- Caller: FACEBOOK.COM
- DonitaI got this call but did not answer. Seeing that others said it is a company reporting illegitimate activity on my bank account, I looked at my account and saw my balance was the same. However, I didn't look at the pending transactions. When I tried to use my check card 2 hours later, it was declined. Sure enough, my credit union said there were some charges that came in from Romania and though two got through (I need to dispute now), they blocked 3 others. I have to get a new card. My credit union said FiServe is indeed a LEGITIMATE company.

- MCReceived a call from this number, I didn't answer but they left a voicemail w/case number. No credit card information asked for at all. They verified the last couple of charges and they put a hold on my card but it was immediately lifted after verifying I did make those charges.

- AbbeyThis is indeed a scam. I work for the bank they were claiming to call from. Idiots. Don't answer unknown calls. Google the number, then find a real number through your financial institution's website to verify the call.
- seantotally legit. i used my cc for a transaction outside the usa and i guess that set off some bells because the cc issuer wanted to confirm the charge. i approved it over the phone, they didn't ask me anything personal, no ss# or anything, just my address.
- Caller: fiserv
- VCIt was actually BofA calling me with a legit concern about a call I made to them. They were returning my call about an online bill pay that I reported missing.
- Caller: Bank of America
- CVVI received a call from this number as well...it turned out to be legit. However, since I was suspicious I dropped the call from this number, called my bank (Patelco Credit Union) and confirmed that the call was legitimate. It is, they outsourced the service.
- Sick of ScammersThis IS a scam ... Do Not answer... They are pretending!!!!
