- Amy| 1 replyI have gotten a letter from the same number promising the same gifts and vacations. my husband and i know something is wrong. we call the number listed above. 18003098595. The manager i talked to was stephanie and we had scheduled to come down on the 16th. i check into it some more and more people tell us that they have gone and they pressure to make them buy timeshare. they drove home with nothing. so i call and i tell them that i hear they are fraud and that we could drive home with nothing. i told them that i didn't have that time to waste. and i said i wasn't going to drive the THREE hours and 53 MINUTES to get there! they assured me that the worst case scenario is that i drive home with 500 dollars in my pocket! i talked to 3 different people with 3 different numbers and they all assured me the same thing no matter we buy from them or not. should we still go?
- sharmoo*So I too got a letter from these mamajuevos claiming that I won a new Mercedes Benz, BMW, or Porsche or the 1500 shopping spree or a 5 day 4 night exotic island adventure or 500 cash. Pft honestly, what dumb fu**er will fall for this crap? the disbursement division is 6231 Blvd. 26, Suite 450 North Richland Hills, TX 76180 and at the bottom it says so contact 1221 bRiver Bend, Suite 120, Dallas, TX 75247 to stop recieving these mails.
- GetopureIf you know the law. The voucher already said you won and doesnt mention anything about being an advertisement. By law you are legal owner of the said prises they said you won, and if they dont honor you have a legit case of false advertising and mail fraud.
- XI am an underage minor and the same people who scammed you all is after me!! The Better Business Bureau has to do something about that. What this company is doing is soliciting to a minor, that is grounds for; expulsion, fine, removal of corporate officers, or even a complete shutdown for noncompliance to ethical business stds.
- BarrackI recently received the official prize winner letter for the
$49,000.00 cash give away at

Do people actually win anything these days? You would be better off letting Bernie Madoff manage your money. On December 11, 2008, Bernard Lawrence Madoff (born April 29, 1938) chairman of Bernard L. Madoff Investment Securities LLC was arrested by the FBI. At that moment, he moved from being a hedge fund principal with suspiciously consistent returns, to being a suspect, thought to have bilked investors out of $50 billion. So far, according to the FBI and other sources, this is the largest investment fraud ever committed by a single individual.
Who knows how many unsuspecting hopeful families have their dreams crushed by AVC Travel. They are certainly clever. Words to the wise if it is too good to be true it usually is. All you red blooded Americans hold on to your green backs. Don’t fall for yet another scam. Spend a dollar on a lottery ticket. You will most likely loose but you will have only lost a dollar. At least there examples of people who have actually won.
What is the difference between AVC Travel actually awarding $49, 00.00 to a winner without any strings attached and big foot? Answer – there have been sightings of a big foot!!
Throw those letters in the trash! Do not entertain their lies!! - SandyI got this same letter with attached travel vouchers in the mail a few days ago..Im gonna call, I was never a believer in these until yrs ago I worked for a timeshare company that would send people to resorts in ma/nh/me/nj, I learned how it worked.. when I no longer worked for them I went to a 90 min timeshare presentation, went home with my free macys gift cards ad travel vouchers..to me, there wasnt much pressure, and was worth the 90 min.. Infact last December received a phone call from another timeshar company and paid $300 to get a week in florida(includes 2 night cruise to Bahamas) 3 nights in vegas, and 4 nights in Mexico..I still have to pay to travel there(air or ground)but thas 14 nights fr $300! also thy will include free rental car for florida trip an meal vouchers:) These trips expire in june so I need to use them! If I dnt, then they made $300..
- Y WhiteOkay, what about number 1-800-327-4614? Out of North Richland Hills, TX?? Looks like another scam has begun. Everyone beware!!! Don't waste your time and be sure to check out the gentleman's comment regarding timeshare in Conroe. I'm surprised Carnival does not know these guys are using their logo, as I received voucher in mail.....don't think they would appreciate!
- AndrewYeah they have called me 3 times and every time they have called it was just a robo call so I have hung up on them. Today I get the letter with the boarding passes and also tells me that I've won a Mercedes Benz, BMW or Porche. It's funny because the address on this one is different from the ones above.

- Austin ResidentThey will not stop sending me these things! Every week I get a new piece of mail impressing on me how URGENT it is I call them within 72 hours to claim my prize. Geez, get a clue! If I didn't fall for this scam by the first, second or third mailing, why am I suddenly going to cave in now?
I seriously wish the low lifes who did this kind of work could be politely re-directed. I know this state imprisons a lot of people, but surely we could make room for these folks. But I live in Texas. This state brought us ENRON. Consumer protection is not high on our list of priorities. Scams grow like turd blossoms in this environment.- Caller: AVC Claims Center
- david| 1 replyI'm going to get my $40 meal/gas voucher I tell ya!! I'm signed up for Thursday, I'll bring my camera and snap some photos for you guys. I live like 10 minutes away. Since I have zero job and zero bucks in my bank account I have a free day or too to piss away. What do I have to loose. I'd actually really enjoy being the one to bring them down after being in business for 20something years anyway.
The perticular call center I spoke with they represent a bunch of different resorts etc... one of the ones he kept mentioning was SilverleafResorts.com
If I can remember I'll sign in on Friday and give you a full update on how it went.- Caller: AVC Claims Center
- ForestOk let’s clear this one up! There are schemes and there are scams. By definition a scheme is a way to get you to do something you may not ordinarily do. A scam is when some one takes advantage of you and gives you nothing for some sort of payment. I just so happen to be acquainted with this company so I can give you the inside scoop. Read the letters carefully to understand what you may be getting into. Although you don’t have to buy anything to win something, you will have to sit through a high pressure sales pitch and you may not win the top prize. The top prize, if won, is a choice of 40k or a car (of the same value). Almost all winners have taken the cash. You will receive a cruise or a Vegas trip, but pay attention to what you have to pay for. If you choose a cruise more than likely you will have to pay your own way to get to the boat. And of course there is also the Vegas trip, which a lot of people chose because they don’t have to pay anything extra. Now! Read all those comments from people calling it a scam. Notice very few actually go through the process of checking it out. They mostly complain about receiving mail or phone calls. Something else to keep in mind, about the phone calls, they don’t call unless you contact them. Via: Signing up for a contest, calling in response to the letter and so on. So while this may be a scheme in the way as described above, it is no way a scam. No one has ever paid for nothing with this company. In fact there are groups of people who completely take advantage of these offers and have never paid for a vacation. So if it is a scam to get you to drive to a resort, sit through a high pressure sales pitch, and then give a prize of any kind... Then by all means, call it a scam.

- Forestdavid - "zero job and zero bucks" means you are not even qualified for the prize. Read the fine print.
- Intrigued replies to Mrs. X| 1 replyhey...i happened to receive it too.....and we have to go to lee MA.... besides if its a fake, u can sue for fake advertisement and gas money.
-anyway the guaranteed me at least 500 dollars minimum. thats not bad considering this economy. I am definitely checking it out - Ritajones replies to IntriguedToday I recieved a letter through the mail and it said that I had won a 4-day cruise to the Carribean or Mexican Riviera Itinerary and to call 1-800-327-4614. This actually looked like a boarding voucher with a serial number on it... OMG:( I call the AVC Travel DISBRRSEMENT DIVISION 6321 BLVd.26 Suite 450 North Richland Hills, TX 76180 and they had a very bad disposition the women was talking to me very aggresively and all I was trying to do is claim my prize nicely ( because I was happy to get it so I thought) I asked her what date do she have available that I can go and take my trip to the Carribians. She told me a differnt story from what the voucher sent me. The rep told me I was suppose to go to Tyler,Tx and claim my prize. All they wanted me to do was purchase shares to a cabin that cost money ( I thought it was a free win to a exotic vacation)... That was really stupid. I asked the rep. the name of the company she works with and she got fighting mad. If I had been in her presence I'm sure she would have become very violent with me. She really had a anger problem . I asked to speak to the supervisor and SHE give the phone to another rep. and HE gave the phone to another rep. and so forth. They were playing so many games on the phone. This is not a professional company nor is it a legit one. My honest personal opinion--- BEWARE THE DOGS DO BITE!!! They don't care about anybody nor their feeling. When I got off the phone I felt really abused. I then thought why is their so many customer service reps. abusing innocent people for no reason at all? THE REAL GUESS IS: They all are hurt themselves and a bird of a feather flock togather. Can someone please SHUT this company down!!!! From the head to the tail is no good. BEWARE OF MAD DOGS!!!

- PurushaThank you. Your information has been helpful -- I just received this in the mail, and it really looked like a good deal on its face, until I read your experiences.
This stuff is going straight into the trash right now.
Thanks again!
