- KarabellIt was a legit call for me. Tracfone called to help me port my number.
- MichaelThis is Tracfone calling. A Filipino woman left me a message which I could not understand because of her thick accent & not fluent in English so I ignored it. Tracfone's call center is in the Philippines & they also own Straight Talk. If you have issues with either one I suggest that you chat with them & keep a copy by clicking on the "envelope" icon on top of the chat page. Be prepared to spend at least an hour for the Filipinos to understand & answer your questions because of their lack of English fluency. Or, you can use a landline but if you use your Tracfone or Straight Talk your minutes will be gone in no time.

- Ellie KaeIt's Straight Talk. I started the transfer process online for my cell from AT&T to Straight Talk 7 days ago, on Sunday. By Tuesday there had been no results or any effect, and I attempted again to transfer my number online, but it unable to complete and said to call their main #. I attempted to transfer my cell using the 800 #, and it said there was an open ticket and to wait 5 minutes. On Wednesday I received a call from this # while I was unavailable... there was no voicemail. Last night I looked this # up to find that it was Straight Talk attempting to reach me. When I called back and finally picked the right extension (#5) for tech support (I hadn't been patient enough to listen that far into the message) I ended up speaking with a nice woman who was easy enough to understand. She investigated the SIM # of the BYOP kit I had purchased at Walmart (quite awhile ago, I've just been too busy to deal with this) and let me know that the PIN # for AT&T I entered was not being accepted by AT&T. I'm now on hold for AT&T live chat to find out my PIN, since it doesn't show up on my account (just a PASSCODE).
I will say, that in my experience with over-seas Tech Support calls, that if I enunciate clearly (without being boorish), employ manners, and don't talk too fast, the call experience is much more pleasant, for both of us I'm sure. And it seems I get the desired result in fewer calls.- Caller: Straight Talk

- Fed Up800-353-1842 is Tracfone useless cust srvc/tech support. On free govt phones they intentionally SLOW the data rate down so on app downloads it takes 10x's the time to do the download thus eating ur free minutes up. Uncle Sam needs to monitor these bums because it's the Veterans n the Disabled folks who the program is intended to help that are being taken advantage of. Also PRINT n keep ur application with Safelink which shows ur enrollment ID# n shows how many GB's ur entitled to because they will try to scam u out of ur minutes. They also try to wear u out by keeping u in the phone for literally hours. Instead demand a ref # for the issue ur calling about before they have the opportunity to conviently disconnect the call. Shame on u Tracfone.
