Yes I just transferred my service today... same thing

Fraudulent phone service verizon on my phone says i have a chromebook i have a samsung 10

Late yesterday afternoon we received TWO messages from this number 800-353-1842.  The caller ID said "Cell Provider".  We ignored the calls.  They left messages.  The first message was a man's voice saying they had received our order to transfer our phone number.  The number referenced was our landline.  We did not "order" any kind of a transfer of this line.  We ignored the message, suspecting it was a scam.  The second message about three hours later was left by a woman with an Asian accent, saying our number had been transferred and not to worry if our phone didn't work, but to just turn it off then on again and it would work.  Again, we ignored the as a scam.  Today our landline did not work.  We contacted our landline provider and they were able to get our number back.  Note:  both of the messages left told us to call 800-806-1840.  THAT number was a number offering us a medic alert system.  SCAM SCAM SCAM

12-05-2022.  I received a very similar call this morning.  Could not understand speaker so hung up. I just received this email from TracFone:  "We attempted to call you today, December 5, 2022, 2:51 PM EST at 7193587978, but call was hung up. We tried again same number on 2:53 PM EST but we were routed to voicemail. We checked the account and it was well provisioned. We need to investigate further so it would be best to speak to us over the phone to authenticate and complete this transaction. You may respond to this e-mail with an alternate number and preferred time to call, or contact us below."
I had called them numerous times in an attempt to get the caller ID on my cell phone changed back to the CORRECT NAME.  It had been switched when I upgraded to G4.
I am about ready to go over to AT&T.  This is ridiculous. The callers voice was totally incoherent ... not an accent ... just not understandable.

I have been receiving many calls from 800353 1842 for over 2 months. Always a recording of foreign woman's voice. Always same recording. I call straight talk and and am Always to lold" they can't help me unless I have  a different phone no. To give them .  They are rude and confrontive. A bad company. They actually try to fix nothing.
